Hi, I can't figure out how to get the setting where the game will slowly cycle through day and night as you're playing. Any help?

from the menu (3 horizontal lines in top right of the in-game HUD), go to "options", then "game", then there should be a Time of Day slider, with a checkbox underneath to toggle whether or not the time of day slowly cycles. As far as I know there's no way to change the speed at which the time of day cycles, there might be a mod for it tho.

When is there going to be a definitive version of Civ VI? I'm just kinda out of the loop and just want to buy all DLC and expansions at once. I don't even know if the devs are still going to add more civs and whatnot.

We're all in the same boat. Nobody.outside of Firaxis really knows the answer and possibly neither do anyone inside Firaxis, although I daresay the higher ups at least do and likely the employees too. Anyone who says otherwise is just giving their opinion.

However, there are two ways of looking at it. First, in the various streams, the language of the company suggest plans for further content, for example, "changes for Civ VI later this year" when we only have two months left of announced content - that's not orthodox wording. It also makes sense, with COVID-19, they'll be really struggling to get serious work done on Civ VII and it would be easier to do more content for Civ VI, and they likely need the cash to see them through until Civ VII is released in a few years. There is plenty of room for more content, particularly if they take the popular Game Modes of NFP and expand them into proper mechanics.

On the other hand, judging by Civ V, new content for Civ VI is overdue to be discontinued, both in terms of time and quantity. While there is more stuff that they could do, they run the risk of bloating then game, particularly if they go for Season Pass content rather than for an Expansion Pack, the former former being significantly easier in this climate. They're also running out of headliner civilisations which will make future content less appealing, and NFP seems to me to have been poorly received - but I don't have the experience to compare it to previous releases, so maybe my perception is skewed. So they may decide now is a good time to quit.

All of which is to say that no one on here knows, unless they've been told not to divulge, so nobody who says they know, does. Personally, I think we'll find out in April when we have the final update for NFP.

Sancta simplicitas! The announcements and appearances in April will avoid the words complete or final as well as any time-related statements.

First they will skip Portugal in March, just to hold us in perfect limbo until autumn. Then on the last days of September we'll receive without announcement or comment "a patch". You know: a patch is a patch is a patch.
In respect of Xmas '21 they announce a Diamond edition and deliver then a Season edition.

February '23 they emit a tweet to the effect, that there are no more plans for Civ VI.

This has probably been answered many times, but I just recently purchased the expansion pack that includes Rise & Fall and Gathering Storm. Is there anywhere that lists what—if any—new gameplay features (governors, world congress, etc.) are included in the standard ruleset?

Sorry, that wasn't quite what I was asking. I would like to know if any new features or changes from that DLC is implemented when you start a new game with the standard ruleset.
Ah ok, pretty sure it would be the same as the Switch, where it effectively plays just the base game, so no new rules from R+F or GS, but neither can you play with the new civs etc. Itll be as though you didnt have the XPs installed.

If I hear rock music (from a Rock Band) in the background after clicking next turn, does this mean that a rival civ's Rock Band just played a concert in my territory? As far as I know, there are no gossip messages about such action.

Where can I see the grand total of how many envoys I currently installed with all the CS combined?

I've never seen such a report, I don't think it exists without mods. The only way I know is to manually add them up. I guess using the Diplo card that gives you one gold per envoy would also work, I guess...

That's what I am doing right now, but if someone knows a mod that shows that vital info please don't be shy to share your knowledge :)

Yes that does seem to be the case. I didn't realise at first that Gathering Storm wasn't a separate DLC but includes all of Rise & Fall as well.

Hi everybody. First post! So be gentle :) A question about the Temple of Artemis wonder. I've attached a screenshot (hopefully). In it you can see that I get 3 amenities from improvements in the ToA city, but as I understand, I should get 5 or 6 amenities from the improvements circled in red (5 OR 6 because I'm not sure if the one in the Ayuthaya city-states, of which I'm suzerain, should count). So how come I'm only getting 3 from improvements?

Welcome to. the forums, friend! :D The reason you're only getting +3 Amenities is because the Improvements must be within the City's territory.

You forgot to circle the Horse pasture to the NW of the Encampment. Including that, the Cattle Pasture and the Truffle Camp, it would give you the 3 amenities from improvements. As Duke stated above the amenities are attached to the improvement, not the city that owns the ToA. So the other improvements you circled will provide amenities to the cities that own those tiles respectively.
