Once you have (I think Armory (Corps) and then Military Academy (Army)) in one of your Encampments, plus the necessary Techs/Civics, then that city can then directly produce a Corps or Army, without having to produce the individual units and combine them first.

An arrow appears to the right of the unit in the production queue which you can click and it adds a drop-down menu which allows you to choose Corps/Army.

Greetings,

I'm trying to see if I would like to get this game. I loved Civ5 in the sense that it gave the player the option to choose the victory condition for the game set up.

Is this still an option for Civ 6? Can you choose per say only "Domination" without Science or other conditions or are they locked into the game.

Thanks for any answers!

Yes. You can enable or disable each of the victory conditions.

Is auto-save broken? I have my auto-save set to save every turn, yet it doesn't do it. I have to manually save if I don't want to lose progress.

How exactly does intercepting nukes work? Do deployed or stationed fighters intercept nuking bombers? Batteships and Anti-Air guns mention in their tool tip they can intercept nukes but it doesnt seem reliable so theres a %-chance i guess? nukes from nuclear subs are not interceptable?

Why do you tink Autosave isn't working? Your autosaves are kept in the \Auto subfolder of your Saves\Single folder, and can be viewed in game by ticking the autosaves box at the top of the Load Game screen.

If your \Auto folder is, in fact, empty, recheck your Game Options => Games settings. Or you can manually check (and change) your autosave settings by opening your UserOptions.txt file and viewing/changing the following lines:

;Number of autosaves to keep
AutoSaveKeepCount 500

;Number of turns between autosaves
AutoSaveFrequency 1

These specific settings result in an autosave every turn and 500 autosaves.

For me, the autosaves sometimes are out of order so that the latest isn't necessarily at the top. I thought it hadn't saved until I noticed, might be that.

I have a question though, I've only just noticed that warriors have a +10 bonus against anti-cavalry. I can't seem to see anything in the civilopedia that says this though, are there other bonuses for other units?

I've been playing with CQUI and ynaemp (with whichever letters are capitals). I've hit a fatal error on a specific turn, and regardless what I do in the few turns leading up to it, I can't get past it. I'm not sure what's causing it, but as one last throw of the dice, I figure I'll try to go back far enough that the seed has changed. Does anyone know how many turns that will be?

Sometimes all the trade routes are displayed permanently and the map looks ugly because of all the lines.
Is this a bug or can I correct this myself?

Well, your save file says you are only generating income of +9.5 gpt (consisting of +5 from Palace, +5 from a trade route, and -0.5 from your Displeased (-1 Amenity) status in your cities, resulting from your bankruptcy), while incurring -17 gpt of maintenance expense (-2 from units, -9 from buildings (including walls in 2 cities) and -6 from districts), so you're losing -7.5 gpt. I'm guessing you used to have more units, but they were disbanded as you went bankrupt. You have no gold from diplomatic deals, so, yeah, you went bankrupt. Instead of some of the districts you chose to build, a few commercial hubs and associated trader units would have been more than enough to keep you in the black. You also have an unimproved mercury tile in your borders, which would generate an extra luxury that you could have sold if you had any builders (Kongo would give you 15 gpt and 17 gold for one mercury).

I've occasionally had this situation myself. Usually it was something like too many (or the wrong) windows opening at the same time - for example, I'm finishing a civic and click on it to go to the policy menu, at the same time I get a pop-up that I fulfilled some Eureka and also should assign some merchant to its route, so when I close the policy window I crash. My advice would be to close each window you see (like the window on the side for assigning a merchant or a spy, or the "new civic" pop-up) before you open another one, that always has helped me not crash.

Thanks Browd, not easy to win a game, it's Emperor level.

haven't found the questions elsewhere:
- for the first time ever I use adjacency bonus of campus district for djungle-tiles. One of them has bananas on it - Can I build a plantation or do I loose the bonus then.
- I misclicked while naming a unit - Any way to rename the unit to get rid of my ugly typo?

You can plantation the bananas -- it doesn't remove the rainforest.

Sadly, it appears renaming is a one-time affair. Could check in the Creation & Customization forum to see if anyone has modded more frequent name change capability.

Why is it so difficult to send CIV my delegations?
How do I send them delegations such that they gladly receive?
