When the game talks about "international trade routes", is that just with an AI player, or to CS too?

Once I hit feudalism should I just harvest most resources in favor of farmland and districts?

When should I harvest in general?

when it gives you the tasks below each tech to speed up the production, do these tasks speed up even the tech you arent building at the moment?

for example, under sailing it says build a city by the sea. its one of the possible techs but im working on another one. i build a city by the sea. am i right in understanding that the number of turns needed for sailing will go down?

It applies to any city outside your culture border.

Never harvest any resources. It's never worth it. If you're talking about clearing a forest or swamp then it depends on what the tile underneath is. For example, I'll only build lumber mills along rivers for the production boost. So if there's a forest on a hill I'll chop the forest then build a mine for that much extra production. It's all about what gives you the most yields. That's kind of why I like to build districts on desert and tundra tiles because I'll never be able to improve them anyway.

The boosts work regardless of which tech you're currently researching. So yes, you are right in understanding how that works. The same goes for civics too, not just technologies.

Is there a method to change fog-of-war so once revealed, it stays revealed without keeping a unit in area, aka, as civ4?

What I had in mind was harvesting cows or sheep in favor of farms, but I left it a bit open just in case there was ever a reason to harvest other stuff.

What about later in the game when I've gotten the other tech that boosts farm output?

It really depends on terrain. Pastures give some production with food (and culture with God of Open Sky pantheon), but that might not be necessary if you have many mines, for example. Some people like to harvest rice and wheat after a while, to increase pop beyond the housing limit. Others advocate that stone on grassland isn't worth it, and harvest it for a production boost (for example, to get a wonder or Spaceship part). Usually other bonus resources are better improved than harvested (especially the mineable ones, like copper).

I myself rarely harvest except for woods and rainforest.

Can Poland win a Science victory? Around when the Polish DLC launched I can remember some posts stating they couldn't, but I searched just there and I can't find anything.

Is there a known issue with cloud saves? I load a game that says it's at turn 198, but it keeps loading what appears to be my last auto save at turn 175 (even though my auto save is set to more frequent than that).

Thanks for any info.

Yep, they can, though they don't get almost any bonuses to it except the extra production from Sukiennice, and there's no achievement for it.

Perhaps those posts were due to Polandball's jokes

At what era do cities come with walls automatically? This didn't happen with my city, but with a Deity AI city. Is that part of their advantage?

When a civ unlocks the Civil Engineering civic, they automatically get full fortifications (obsoleting all earlier walls) and the ability to bombard.

I've been reading about and experiencing the AI not really knowing how to war, even on higher difficulties. Just last night, I had two civilizations declare a joint war against me that I was ILL prepared to defend against...and nothing happened.

What's the latest on this? Has it been addressed in a recent patch? Is it our imaginations and nothing is actually wrong?

What are the rules for trading great works(paintings, sculpture, etc)? I can not seem to swap great works for other great works, artifacts, or relics.

Hey folks. Just wondering if someone could point me in the best direction for help and advice on my saved Diety game as Russia. I've never beat Diety and made the jump after beating King so any help would be appreciated. Is there somewhere I could post my saved game? I'm around turn 270 and with a perfect start I took all of Montes states and Paris from Catherine. I've never progressed this far and would appreciate some input.

Probably because they don't have a free appropriate slot, in which case they never accept the trade. IF you use gold, it can get quite expensive (though they often offer them in peace deals, if you've been warmongering).

You can make a new thread, but with more detailed information (e.g., what's been happening, what's your issue, have you been losing or is it ok etc). There are also many insightful threads in the Strategy and Tips section.

Why does it take so long to repair the pillaged districts and building even the city has good production?

Do cliffs still provide +1 appeal on top of coast's +1 appeal? I can't see a reference to this in the civilopedia.
