Ummm....

Knives? :hide:

Yeah, draw some blood you know, get some adrenaline going. Makes it a little more dangerous and exciting.

Sex has actually been shown to be good for you beyond just feeling good. One thing in particular is that it boosts your immunity.

And loads of other stuff. Acts like a good painkiller and anti-depressant as well.

Blood is tasty. :yumyum:
But I prefer not to self-inflict wounds of any kind. :hide:

Guys, another direction please.

So, another rant: Made too much Pizza .
Had it on Saturday for dinner (that was intented), Sunday dinner, today lunch and dinner, and tomorrow again for lunch.
Only reason why not tomorrow for dinner (will not be empty) is that I've also bought too much of the ingredients, and invited someone over tomorrow for Spaghetti.

Yeah, first world problems :D.

There's no such thing as too much pizza, and you should have enough tupperware so as to be able to barter it at lunch for your coworkers' lunch.

QFT.

Admittedly, though, with my LDL s little high -- though not dangerous -- bartering pizza is preferable to gorging myself, raising my triglycerides and going into a pizza coma.

My address is
1060 West Addison, Chicago, IL 60609 send extra pizza c/o Joliet Jake Blues. Thanks

Sent via mobile; apologies for ripping off a pop film line...

That's a lot of pizza!

And more than one. How many did you make? Did you make the base(s) yourself, too?

Rant: It's kinda ridiculous when I order an external optical drive, and it comes with an installation disk, which kinda defeats the purpose as my laptop's optical drive IS NOT FRIGGIN' WORKING AND IS WHY I ORDERED THE DAMN THING IN THE FIRST PLACE! [pissed]

"Plug-and-play" my bleeping ass.

I truly hate nostalgia. The belief that "politics/kids/people/music/culture/etc these days" are always worse than those in "your" day absolutely requires a very selective and faulty memory. And I can't stand the absurd belief that culture and art can be objectively determined to be superior to other culture and art... especially when it's some fool prattling on about how the culture of the "Greek golden age" was the best thing EVER, was objectively superior to all other culture, and created Western civilization, apple pie, Mom, puppies, and all things wonderful.

Sex is overrated.

Seriously. Just think of all the germs and goo involved. :cringe:

Yay germophobia.

So yeah, sex. Overrated.

Hey, you're forgetting the rave part: you didn't burn half of it and leave the other half frozen.

(See, I pay attention to what random people half way across the planet rant about)

It's not sex that is overrated - it's all the mess at the end of it.

Moderator Action: For those not taking The_J's hint, drop the topic. A general rule of thumb is that if your post contains the word 'sex', it's unlikely to be PG-13.

I am totally copying the above post for repost when, in twenty years' time you will be posting on Random Rants how you thought the original Django Unchained was much better than Zak Snyder's reboot with Scott Glenn as King and Lawrence Fishburne as Django.

I mean it. You are way too young to appreciate or deprecate nostalgia. Why, in my day....

Sent via mobile; apologies for devo-ing my own post....

But I'd still have to eat that! It's not so that it's not tasty, but it's just too much!
And my coworkers lunch is normally worse :/.

Still a half tray left over. Let's see if it's still good tomorrow.

Yeah, made all of that myself, including the dough.
4 kilo of yeast dough. Quite a mess :D.
I think we had 6 or 7 trays, threw away 1 burnt part, and raw dough for at least another one.
I definitely planned too much. But then again, I expected 50% more people.
Oh well.

:p true.
But I still burnt a quite considerable part. Uuuuh, the oven has to be cleaned up :scared:.

My god will it ever stop raining?

You could've donated it and got rep points as in Might & Magic games.

I already think that Django Unchained was excellent, that Christoph Waltz's performance as Dr. Schultz cannot be equalled, and that Zak Snyder sucks. And I don't think that things in the future are automatically better- it's just that nostalgia tends to be the silly sentiment that everything "back in my day" was better than things "these days", which requires selectively overlooking the past's crap and the present's gems. When I'm an old man, I suspect that people will forget trash like Land of the Lost or any movie made by the SyFy channel but will remember things like True Grit or The King's Speech, and my old peers will rant about how movies back in "their" day were great compared to the movies coming out "these days".

Hey, hey! Land of the Lost was a great TV show back in the day! Not my fault this new generation can't make a quality movie based on good 70s and 80s material! Plus, for the record, cruising around in your 75 Grand Prix (WITH FACTORY AM/FM/8-TRACK/23 CHANNEL CB) packed with your friends beats the crap out of commuting to work in a taurus.

So yeah, nostalgia is legit.
