Deadpool was hysterically funny.

I thought there was an idiom about finding a unicorn but google tells me my rather wholesome intent means something much different ("finding a unicorn" had to have popped up in only the last 3-4 years I bet)

but, the rave is that I am very excited and have not been this way for a long time, for something that I did not expect to happen

It was already cloudy when I arrived. :p

I went into my local Emmaus (homeless charity) store and not only did I find some really cheap books in my preferred genre (mediaeval murder mysteries), an ABBA CD was playing over the speakers. I was pleasantly surprised on both fronts.

ABBA is awful and you should feel bad for liking them.

Says the Australian. :p

Even when he was called last night from Glasgow.

ABBA isn't at all bad music. Objectively speaking, ABBA isn't "good music".

But if you like it, then it is, according to some definition or other, good music.

I suppose one could say it bears the same relationship to "seriously good music" as pantomime does to "serious theatre".

I will freely admit that Mama Mia is not a particularly good film, but it is hilarious to watch.

But I've played all my cards and that's what you've done too, nothing more to say, no more ace to play.

I've thought about going to see Mama Mia.

Did you sing along?

Let's face it: ABBA songs are eminently singable.

Mamma Mia! ABBA are glorious, the epitome of European 80s music.

I didn't sing along, no, but I did hum more than once. :p

Anyway, I said that the lady in Emmaus who put on the CD had excellent taste in music. She asked how anyone could not like such happy music. I didn't disagree.

Pah, Joan is on ABBA's side because he wants a man after midnight, preferably one called Fernando.
