Hmm. I'm looking for a coat. And I was in M&S only yesterday, but found nothing.

Still, I like the moleskin, but they'll not sell me anything with epaulettes, I'm afraid. And £87 is far too much for my wallet.

Actually the one I got is newer than the one I linked, it has 4 pockets on the front, and 2 inside:

Didn't resize image so warning. It has a built in scarf and is fully wind proof.

But yea they cost £89, or £71 with staff discount plus a free christmas box. I also got a £10 off £40 spend voucher with it so I'll buy some luxury trousers with that. The voucher isn't valid until Dec 1st though.

Cool. But what is moleskin? I'm going to go a head and assume it's not actual skin from moles.

Its a posh stitched cotton that is wind resistant with a soft plush / felt touch. And expensive.

I have a chance to earn some money. This winter, the neighborhood association of the community I live in is offering me and some other people money to shovel snow so cars can leave the driveway. The pay is twenty dollars per car, which is decent. As you can guess, I am going to take this job.

Oh my feedback from the M&S store I finished working at was that I made a great first impression, I was polite and had good customer service.

But they thought I was slow.

:bounce::bounce::bounce: seems I might have a date for the weekend :bounce::bounce::bounce:.
Met an acquaintance, in whom I'm considerably interested, at the gym. She was a bit early for her yoga class, so we talked a bit. When the class was about to begin, she said something like "I don't know if you'll still be here in 1h, but we should maybe go for a drink at some time point". Since I need to increase also my cardio training, I just decided to stay that 1h on the stepper and treadmill. When she came out of the class, she didn't directly see me, and was looking around, so I guess that combo means she's also interested :D.
We talked on the way back, and now she expects an email from me, to set up something for the weekend, yay :D :bounce:.
(why not phone number: She doesn't have one from this country...and I don't have FB or whatsapp)

Possible job for nearly 50% raise, and indoors... really hoping for it :)

Woo presidential debate!

Hooray! Awesome dude!

For a change on a Saturday evening I like cricket rather than hate it

Going to elaborate on this slightly. In 6 and a half seasons of senior cricket, I'd never scored above 45 runs in an innings. On Saturday, scored myself 95 not out, missing out on the chance of a century only because I ran out of time. Would be good to play like that with a bit of consistency.

30% discount for 5 days at M&S for me.

Im gonna buy all the shoes and moleskin trousers.

If only M&S did dental work.

So far, today goes well. Went to my favorite part of town and emptied my wallet on German Ritter Sport chocolate, Lebanese bread, Turkish Doppelkekse, other groceries, a fetayer at a Lebanese deli, and charity. This international grocery store is the only place where I've been able to get Ritter Sport since Germany, and I haven't had Doppelkekse since I got back here, either. The Lebanese side of my family bakes hundreds of fetayer every Christmas, but only then, and it's great to find a place where I can get them regularly. I thanked the guy at the deli and said goodbye in Arabic, and he seemed happy. I think I might just stick with Arabic next semester.

Yay! Good to hear you're settling on things.

I've still yet to find a good place out here with Jewish deli food. I've resigned to just waiting until I go home to eat all the delicious stuff.

I'm still iffy on Arabic--it's tough, I'd hate to visit most countries where it's spoken, studying it might railroad me into careers dealing with Arabic, but I don't have many options, and in any case I just haven't met enough native speakers or found enough Arabic-language stuff I want to be able to understand. Hopefully I will...

You'd like this international grocery store, I think--it had almost half an aisle of Israeli food!

Just keep exploring, something is bound to catch your eye. A language isn't spoken by so many millions without something interesting happening in it!

Don't know much about Israeli food, but if they've got challah I'm down!

Are you a fan of ptitim, Mr. Coolyo?
