Live or taped. Live television is still exciting for just that reason.

live. im a lil scared :O

Hahahahahaha!

No.

There's no good place to start picking at that, you're not correct. They do call it Family Planning though, maybe that was the confusing bit.

the monty python skit I saw said otherwise, so I can assure you, you are in the wrong here!

I post in the wrong thread too, sometimes even after checking which thread it is!

We knocked 135 doors today and have only 43 to do the entire day tomorrow!
 I haven't done that in a long time.
After being sick for a week, I am not.[party]
After having a busted big-screen TV for a month, I found a guy who can fix. He needs to have a part shipped to him from Manila, but I should be up and running early next week.:worship:
We've set up our Xmas and yesterday, we purchased our replacement Xmas lights. :xmascheers:
I'm re-binge-watching Firefly just because.

I've made mistakes (at another forum) where I forgot what window I was in and I posted something very personal in a public thread that I meant to be part of a private conversation. And before I could delete my post, someone quoted me and so my humiliation was irreversible.

I posted something really personal in public on a MUD once and of course there's no delete function in online games.

I found a thing I've been looking for for weeks. And in the process of tearing the place apart looking for it, I found several other things I've been looking for for YEARS.

Bummer. The Internet is unforgiving.

:(

It might have been possible to ask a moderator to delete both posts, particularly if the person who quoted you made a negative comment.

I once accidentally posted a comment meant for TNZ in Miscellaneous. Thankfully I realized it in time to delete it, as it wasn't within the allowable rules for the public threads. That can happen sometimes if the same topic is being discussed in both areas of the forum.

Democrats to win elections in the state of Pennsylvania.
I read that today as the first unread post and thought that was an actual rave. Then I saw my post above. :crazyeye:

Case in point:

As Valka said, try and get those posts deleted, or shifted to the appropriate thread if the forum's software allows it.

Well, yeah, fast-fashion hamster people. I can go with that part, but, seriously, who gets sneakers fixed?
I will fix shoes if fixing involves putting in new insoles or maybe taping the back of the heel on the inside when I rub through the material. But shoes that are fixed this way aren't long for the world and maybe last another month or two.

I do have a pair of indestructible flip flops I've used for fetching mail/taking the dog out for almost 2 decades. They are worn down to the point where soon my feet will poke through the soles entirely.
This time I found something on my wishlist, a book I haven't seen at so many used bookstores - Rendezvous with Rama by Arthur C. Clarke. In great condition for $2!!! Somebody borrowed my copy decades ago and I always check if a bookstore has it, and nobody ever does.. until I decided to step into my local goodwill, after so many years of not going there!!
This is an excellent book!

My sweetie came home from work carrying PIZZA!!!
Give this woman a medal!

Rave:
Fixing my car turned out to be waaaay easier than I thought it would be. I dropped it off and they gave me a ride to work. They sent regular text message updates as they tracked down the various electrical faults. They sent an uber to pick me up when it was ready and I spent all of 3 minutes waiting at the dealership to pick up my car before they brought it out. Best of all - it was all covered under warranty and cost me nothing. :)

Yeah, I loved it, I'll have to read through it again sometime. I really liked the sequels too, except for the ending, which was really dumb and cheap

I just ordered some takeout (omelettes from one of my favorite breakfast places; after getting woken up at 6:30 am by a customer service agent in the Philippines [see the Rants thread], I figured I deserve a treat).

I'd forgotten to order cutlery (it's free), but they sent it anyway. So now I am going to sit here, eat eggs, and finish reading the fanfiction I found in which three characters in The Borgias TV series (the Jeremy Irons one) turn into vampires. :D

The book I ordered came in the mail ahead of the expected delivery date! I thought Canada Post was supposed to be on strike.

It's a rotating strike, which means they take turns over which cities' workers are off for 24 hours. Edmonton was on strike a few days ago, and I think Calgary is either today or tomorrow. This probably explains why my Etsy order isn't here yet. I have another Etsy order scheduled, and the seller sent me a nice email thanking me for the order and saying she hopes it won't arrive too late due to the strike (she's somewhere in the eastern U.S.). The first order is the one I'm concerned about as it's a gift for someone. The other two are ACEO cards for my collection and they can take their time.
