It's not illegal. It's covered under civil law, and thus is not an "illegal activity", but a complaint between two separate parties at the behest of one.
Well, yours specifically might have been legal. But I find the entire topic fascinating. I associate it with getting arrested, but I'm mainly thinking about eco-activism

My high school is probably better.I can do a "Ask a person who graduated from the #1 high school in America" along with another person.
