Well, I have their laptop and desktop which cost me around $10,000 total with all accessories. I did not skimp on anything. I have both the Area-51m Laptop (which I use for my office work - I lug this heavy thing to and fro) which is a little old now, and the brand new Aurora-7500 desktop (with Dual 7800 GTX in SLI) for my exclusive gaming pleasure.

Ah! the joys of technology :)

Betazed, just so I can watch the power of your machines - how much of each day do you think your machine will be folding? I'd be curious to see the chart of "points vs. time machine was one" to see your processing power.

My machine won't be folding much. It is running on my laptop now which I use for pretty heavy duty development. My home machine is turned off whenever I am not play... errr using :mischief: it.

I will throw it on a couple of idle dev servers here. So we should be doing good.

I've switched my P4 3.6ghz over to CFC from the Knight Who Say Ni!

NI! ni! NI!

 welcome aboard

I believe dual-core pentiums with HT will have the highest fold/time (for home systems)

P.S - THIS SHOULD BE A STICKY

A chance to get banned, maybe.
This is nice and important, but I don't think it's sticky material.

No need to take the chance, if the occasional fortuitous :bump: post shows up.

And hey, at this rate only a month or so until we're in the top 2000 teams! :)

I'm leaving for a vaction on the 23rd and won't be folding for about two weeks. You guys will have to cover for me ;)
Congrats to your 7000st post, btw! :)

Walk before you run, fold before you kilofold. ;)

@Till: :thanx:

well you cant get banned for asking!

Well I finally got around to installing it.

It's currently running on:
Athlon64x2 4400
Celeron 500mhz
Celeron 1Ghz

If it proves stable enough I'll put it on my home server, which is an AthlonXP 2100 underclocked to 1500.

I followed exactly VRWCAgent's instructions about the console version of Folding@Home(his very detailed post at this thread), made it to run as a service, meaning, it'd run automatically after the initial rebooting, right?

Thing is, if I run services.msc, I can't find anything regarding FAH: I'm sure, it doesn't work(since it's not there), and I don't know why's that(console 5.04version).

I also downloaded Electron Microscope viewer, but it doesn't show any progress at all.
by the way: In my Folding folder, in the current unit info.txt, says it has prossesed 10% of unit(no more progress from yesterday).

Anyway, I really didn't want to annoy you with technicalities, but I didn't know what else to do.
