Single Player bugs and crashes - After the 13th July 2013

Better method is to set up a different .ini file when you launch c2c.

 

Minidump shows crash is not in our DLL. Therefore probably graphics again.

It DOES reproduce for me, so I should be able to track I down (eventually - this sort of issues always takes hours to find)

 

And who ever keeps turning the Voice Capture device back on I wish they would stop. Very annoying!

If you'd take a look at what i sent you about a month ago and see what needs to be updated on it, it would be a great corrupt graphics art finder.

 

Can you be more specific? In general I have NO IDEA what needs DOING to art to make it work - all I can do is identify which unit or building is causing it - it's up to someone who understands the art stuff at that point to experiment until they can make I work.

Edit - the latest one was not graphical after all, and I have a fix, which will be on the SVN later today.

Stratosphere Casino Wonder has bad text (bad XML). I'll push a fix with my other changes later today.

@Sargon: make sure to escape XML entities - in this case your text contained literal '&' characters, which you have to escape as '&'

Edit - the Nurhachi leaderhead info was also broken (and again I will push the fix with my other changes)

@SO - you had the wrong schema reference (it was trying tio use Modu_... instead of Nurahachi_...

Not on this one - he may have fixed something analogous.

What happened to the buildings like Master Sea Hunter that you could build with subdued sea animals. The only things available to build now are the Myth buildings.

Has anyone else had problems with the humpback whales becoming impossible to kill. I have one ship killer that is getting a bonus of 520% against wooden boats. With a strength of 4 with 500% they are a strength 20. I really don't think they should be able to come into the coastal water. It's not like humpback whales swim around coastal shallow water attacking boats.

 

Fallen for the old confusion between "tales of sea creatures" and "subdued sea creatures". The first is stories about the animal the second is a captured animal itself. I recently tidied up the "tales of..." units and what they can do. So now they can only build myth buildings. You could use a Great general and put a master Sea Hunter in all your cities. When we get the Great Hunter working that building will move from the GG to the GH.

Arr, a story of the great whale that sinks ships and thwarts the hunters - sounds like a best seller to me.

Actually they do - happened here a few weeks ago - the canoeist though it may have been giving him a "high-five" with its tale.

Pic 1: The diagram shows me at war with Hiro & JC. They are really at war with the guys "over my shoulder" (David & Roosy respectively), but the red line stops at me.

Pic 2: I got Privateers from this event when no-one is even up to Corsairs yet (I'm the only one with Caravels).

Pic 3: Since no-one else reports this, maybe it only happens to me. When I buy units, more than once they have exhibited this phenomenon, where I can't see them unless I move all other units out of my capital. In the screenie you can see the unit has no icon, and the standard for the tile shows my unit(s) present, but there are no 'lights' on the standard, indicating my unit(s) but zero of them. They do appear on the Military Advisor

 

I have been able to play C2C but all of a sudden I am getting CTD's before the game even starts. I am playing v31.

After I have loaded up C2C and begin to customize a game, as soon as I click on any of the civilizations, the game crashes to desktop.

Here is what I have already tried:
1. Restarted Civ BtS and reloaded C2C.
2. Deleted the cache and did step 1.
3. Downloaded and installed DLL5788.zip patch and did step 1.
4. Restarted my computer and then did step 1.
5. Totallly deleted my C2C v31 folder completely and re-installed C2C (the one that had been working) and then did step 1.
