Single Player bugs and crashes v39 plus (SVN) - After the 20th of July 2019

I've noticed discrepancy.
Brass Working is lo-o-o-o-ong way ahead of me. But since I already know Folk Music, I can build Brass Instruments Maker.
It is some sort of anachronism - mod has these here and there.
Or it was one of things, that I changed so building isn't unlocked before its prereqs some time ago.
That is if building/unit is unlocked on column X, then prereqs are unlocked on tech in column X or earlier.

graphic paging is very laggy on that save when you start panning after loading it.
Lol you tagged the wrong person!

edit: yeah it starts slow because my default settings page in ALL roads and yield symbols, so it does that when you load and the rest of the stuff is delayed a bit. After it has done that it performs fine for me. Is it like this for you or does it stay laggy?

It gets better after moving around

Actually there is a bug with the vertical wrapping, where cities at the bottom of the map don't load.

That is just because the stuff is staying loaded. The paging normally does lag somewhat with the settings I have used. You can change them to reduce it if you want. The MAX_PAGING_FRAME_TIME_MS is one setting to try tweaking:

Why can I see some of the cities then? I used to see them all, I never really use espionage points. Unless the enemy jumps ahead in tech.
Some cities are EP-cheaper to see into than others. You accumulate EPs even with the slider at zero. Check the Espionage Advisor page.

Okay, thank you. Don't really use the espionage system.

@Dancing Hoskuld , This seems to be in your court now.
It does eat plant material but like humans they are omnivores. Perhaps I need an omnivore building. The Exotic Herbivore building will be being changing to require a herbivore not native to any base Cultures you have.

Not a discrepancy. Brass is the name of the technique used to play the instrument, ie the way your lips are used. It is yet another example of a word having more than one meaning. It has nothing to do with the metal.

No. See above. Brass Instruments have nothing to do with the metal.

In 11031:
I go into a city screen from the Domestic Advisor.
I change production (in my case it was to Research, I don't know if that matters)
Now the Escape key to exit the city screen doesn't work. I have to hit some other key first (fortunately there's no hang and everything else keeps working) - I tried the menu button and the arrow to next city. After these <escape> is back to working.

Dreadnought combat class can't get Commando promotion. Upgrading (I use the term loosely) a Thermobaric Tank (str 120) to an Electric Tank (str 140; 16.6% increase), you lose this promo if you have it (requires Combat 4). So for offensive value, I would say that's a step backwards.

The rationale might have been that Dreadnoughts are too big for most roads. I don't think that's the case anymore. Certainly they are the same Size class as earlier tanks.

I have also reported this problem.

Build Barter Post - it isn't autobuilt anymore
Trading post and commercial district aren't autobuilt too.
Build food storage pit.

We were talking about prehistoric era revision for a while lol.
Also it was already in SVN for week or two.

Oh. I see.
I've read that Wikipedia article now.
The view of most scholars (see organology) is that the term "brass instrument" should be defined by the way the sound is made, as above, and not by whether the instrument is actually made of brass.
Another perfect example of how some unknown dudes from the Internet change common (normal, settled) meaning of terminology.
I remember Wikipedia, when it at least tried to pretend it resembled scientific approach to making articles, used to put notes like "40 days without a link that proves this statement".
In this particular case "most scholars" are not defined and not confirmed in any way.

The same bullfeathers approach as in "there is a scientific consensus about climate change".
Ambiguous statements like two above are designed to cover up lies.

But I have a simple disambiguation method for this approach. It is in the same article! If brass is NOT about material, then instruments must be called "labrosones, literally meaning "lip-vibrated instruments". And later in the same article they write about different materials labrosones are made of.

So please, it is a common knowledge that brass instruments are made of brass. Hence they are brass, not labrosones.

I'm not criticizing. Just wondering: what's the reasoning for making them not autobuilt? Or should I ask: why they were made autobuilt before? :undecide: Ah, whatever. I'm content either way.

I'm not sure why those were autobuilt before.
I think it could be sheer amount of buildings being dependent on them.

It is not a recent change. I learned about it in the 1960's. Just like some instruments that today are made completely of metal are woodwinds.

Why can't I "train" or otherwise obtain Mission Rewards? I'm in Nanotech, I should be able to build just about all the solar system wonders etc. by now. I suppose it's because I'm not on a space map, but if so I'm sorry but that's ridiculous.. It's like saying there can be no Marco Polo's Journey if you don't have Kublai Khan and his capital Khanbaliq in your game.
