Son of Kong (10/13/05)

Waffles are good, french fries are better (come on, why french fries ?!) and the beer is excellent ;)

There are always a chance that Godzilla would popup one day, but he isn't one of my current project right now. If I do it, Minya, Godzuki or Godzilla Jr would (one or other) probably be made also. ^^
 
I do enjoy a good Belgian white ale on occasion... :)

If my memory serves me right (unlikely), Godzilla Jr is just a third-sized Godzilla - essentially a Jr. High age, older child. Godzuki/Minya are the much smaller, goofier, man-sized lizards that blows smoke rings.

Once the new wife and I get back from Hawaii (leave LAX in 6 hours), I will be hitting all 3 scenarios pretty hard. Whatever units are not made by the time Godzillas build is winding down, I will take a stab at.

I think in the 70's King Kong there was a female Kong, too, but I could be wrong.
 
Apparently, Godzuki was the Godzilla from the american cartoon. Think Emmerich's Godzilla with a breath weapon.

I vaguely remember a King Kong movie with a pregnant Kong. [..search..]
It's King Kong Lives (1986).

The story goes the when the Americans soldiers came to Belgium during WWII most of the people they met were French speaking. So to make it easy they called it french fries...
Not sure if is true though...
 
Excellent unit!
To my taste the "Papa Kong" is a bit too large for any use, but the "Son" will definately make an excellent and presumably quite accurate Giganthopithecus blacki for my "Ice-Age Blitz-Krieg" scenario :-)

Supa, aren't you going to make a normal-sized and coloured gorilla unit, too? :-)

No, I do not mean "mama Kong".
I mean Gorilla gorilla, a real-life African ape, the size of medium black bear when on all fours and a bit taller than a tall man, when upright.

The "Kong" units are too big, even the "Son of Kong" and even for a giant middle Ice Age Chinese ape, the Gigantopithecus. But the unit is made perfectly both proportions and movements are very realisitc - I really enjoyed waching it in action in my game yesterday night. And coloration is just right for my Gigantopitek.

A possible gorilla unit would have to be 2 times smaller though...
 
No Gorilla gorilla in the near future. I haven't got the use and animations would be quite hard for a mercenary job. As a real gorilla doesn't move at all like a Gorilla kaiju kong. ;) But the model I used is freely available. You can find it via the Godzilla unit request thread. Last resort, you can resize Kong or Son of Kong with Steph's software.

maybe I'll figure out how to resize units :-) - Than your son of Kong will make a well-trained circus gorilla who constantly walks on two legs and is red with efforts :-)
