Sorry for the bumping of my question, but it seemed to be buried under the shadow of a more complicated question.

How do you differentiate between sounds in front and sounds behind you? With only two ears wouldn't a sound from the back sound the same as a sound from the opposite location in the front?

I expect it's because our ears are shaped so that they are open at the front and closed at the back.

Everyone raves about Princess Bride . Often I see it listed as peoples favourite movie . So what's the deal ? Worth watching for someone not really into the genre ?
It's actually a comedy, so, yeah, definitely. I admit that a lot of people may be coloured by nostalgia, but it's a good watch none the less.

(Edit: "A lot of people's views may be coloured by nostalgia", that should be.)

"I hired you to help me start a war. It's a very prestigious line of work, with a long and glorious tradition." :D

Can anyone recommend a fun park in the US with some kick ass rides , roller coasters and the like . The scarier the better . I'll be there soon . Preferably Calafornia , Illinois , Washington state , Tennessee or Texas.

I don't know how good the parks are, but there are Six Flags amusement parks in Illinois, Texas, and California at least: http://www.sixflags.com/national/index.aspx

Silly question, but does anyone have a larger image of the character in the Civfanatics banner? I have a funny idea and I could use the image.

Are pilots allowed to fly when sick? Is their health monitored by the airline or some other authority?

It's the pedia pic of the swordsman from civ3, and that's pretty much the size it appears in game.

The only answer to that question is CEDAR FREAKING POINT, which is in northern Ohio. Every other amusement park is a poser.

Magic Mountain, just north of Los Angeles.

I almost mentioned that (given that it's kind of the go-to park in the upper Midwest at least) but it has the downside of being in Ohio. Plus, I have no idea how it compares to other parks elsewhere... is it really that much better?
