It's a Mustang; the validity of that is Ford's call, not yours.

And New Coke was still Coca-Cola, yep. Four-door sedan Mustang? Does it even rumble? More like an electric Taurus.

:gripe: :old:  :wallbash: [pissed]

It's a Mustang, no matter how much you cry about it.

This is the future. ICE cars will soon be gone. Get used to it.

Oh I get that part, and they're gradually sorting out the downsides of electric; I would certainly enjoy driving a car with that sort of acceleration available and I'm not opposed to electric cars generally other than the strain they're adding to an already overtaxed distribution grid.

But with the Mustang in particular it's like a new director taking a film franchise in a completely different direction, in say the eighth or ninth movie, and ignoring established canon prior to that point for the sake of their own ideal of the film's universe.

I hope you have fun driving your electric Taurus. :)

Single gear....

"True fans" are the absolute worst. It's both funny and sad that you think you have any kind of authority on this.

I do enjoy my Mustang.

Madam, this is the Internet.

I wonder what the effects of my new avatar upon Sommerswerd are.

:lmao: That is an appreciation I had not made.

Well, I told my doctor that my sleeping pill (Ambien) was working perfectly, sending me to dreamland within 15 minutes - only I've recently started to wake up after 4 hours. She suggested I split the pill: half for when I go to bed, the other should I wake up again. And I tried.

So here I am: half a pill right before midnight, more awake than an owl; second half at 1:20 am, went down like a mint drop. I've been tempted to take a second pill (big no-no, instructions say) and just gulping down alcohol until I achieve critical mass. I'm doing the latter.

Here's the unworthy question: keep drinking or dare the forbidden second pill? There's no other place I'd ask with actual faith.

The 'right' answer is: go take your pills as they've been recommended. Even if this way they're nothing good for you.
OR use what you used before, which is wildly condemned by health agencies everywhere, but still beats being awake at, un, 3:09.

I agree - there's no obvious choice here. [I'd offer to stick with a whole pill as retiring, and hope for the best]

Honestly, I've never heard a single good thing about Ambien, especially when mixed with other drugs. It seems particularly ruinous. Maybe North American doctors are just bad at dosing, and they are better at it in Europe.

Eh, I read plenty of bad stuff about it as well, but I have to admit, it more or less solved my problem with falling asleep - but it takes an entire 10mg pill, half is evidently not enough.

I don't think it's a matter of medical choices, Ambien producers themselves warn explicitly against ingesting more than one pill per day. I suspect that when she suggested I try taking half a pill first, my doctor was sneakily trying to steer me towards reducing the dosage: I appreciate her concerns, unfortunately 5mg don't do it for me.

How it ended: after my glass last night here, I went to bed and was only awakened by the alarm at 8am - I promptly set said alarm to 11am; only then I got up!

My wife uses some mj tincture drops and a sound noise machine for a better night's sleep.

The ultimate choice is up to you, Neo.

Or, more seriously, I'd recommend no alcohol before bed in general.

Does anyone have experience with ...er... international shipping?
I need to ship my stuff (boxes only) from France to the Netherlands again. Last time I used eurosender, but I'm looking for a company which will pick up a bunch of boxes on a specified date, and will deliver them on a specified date (eurosender can't do that), potentially with 1-2 days of storage if necessary.

I have a friend in France who wants to buy a white noise machine while she is in Paris later this month or to buy one from an EU source rather than the US. Do any of you in Europe know of sources or links to places for such a purchase? Thanks.
