I understand the reason and the feeling behind arachnophobia but it always amazes me how strong and widespread this reaction is.

It looks like an upside down Gornach.

they do look alike to a degree, (and here comes the but) BUT the gornach seems to only have four legs (going by the picture) and no scenory organs, but are very dangerous. The Dagobah spider has at least twice as many legs, and is more spider-like, yet doen't seem as dangerous.

would make interesting units if someone wanted to make them.

when i was twleve i was bitten by a veninuous european spider, not very large, from the ones with a cross on the back. oh i hate them.
