I know what he meant now, and he is right that it may be an obstacle. Then again, it might just be a hiccup that can be overcome easily. The answer is the bane of AW variants, the dread 1 tile island. If we can get it in a peace deal, no problem, but with a busted rep, that could become a problem. I see it as a challenge that we can deal with.

Oh, I see. Fortunately, this isn't an AW variant, so I don't foresee it being a problem. Our busted rep isn't an issue when negotiating peace - we could even get a tech for gpt (for example) if it was attached to a peace treaty.

Load 2 Cavalry to send to South Island. Figure out DWetzel’s little conundrum to us…the French have a 1 tile Island, which will require Marines or am advantageous PT to capture. DoW the French, land the army and the other “pillage people”.
Founded Dordrecht 2 in the tundra near Zwolle 2. Finish moving workers and military units.

A Frigate sinks trying to kill our Galleon, otherwise Frances’ only moves are to surround our army, moving loads of troops to send out on boats, at least 2 Galleon Loads, actually blocking the Coal and Saltpeter.

IBT: Army survives a Longbow, I’m thinking the attacks are from NoAIPatrol being off, they aren’t concerted attacks, just sort of accidents.

The pillaging went slower than expected, due to the army not being immune from attack. Only once was there a more than half-hearted attempt to kill it, and that came pretty close, dropping it down to 6hp. Otherwise, the rail-net is probably 95% complete and our specialist farms are getting in tune, we can soon get the Infantry and Artillery to finish things. A turn or five of 0% tech can get the money to upgrade the Cannons and SMs to make this war shorter. A downside is that the French are scattered around on multiple islands, so we'll need a real navy to kill them off. Anyway, looks like the fun is yet to come.

I needed some time-out to decide if I still want to continue playing SG's, recent events having reminded me why I quit in the first place. However, I gave my word to TT that we would bring this home for him, and I intend to honour that commitment.
