UFO crashes in Namibia, No one knows why

None of the spheres have been found in the United States, so I kind of doubt extraterrestrial origin.

They could have tuned into US TV and radio and concluded there was no intelligent life there.:D

According to this website it's a COPV - a gas tank used on satellites. Space junk.

This. It is the 104 Litre Hydrazine Propellant Tank: Model OST 31/0 to be specific. But hey, the new trend in society seems to be if you don't know what it is then it must be from aliens (Like that issue with the new drone being driven through that town in Kansas).

It turns out that objects can travel pretty far in the atmosphere before finally falling to the ground, so I wouldn't be surprised if they had been sent up as part of some weather project somewhere.

Yeah, it was just a weather balloon. :scan:

of all the places for aliens to land, why Namibia?

They saw District 9 and knew what would happen to them if they landed just a little further south,

Could be UXO---Unexploded Ordinance.

Chicago's iffy. If it lands in New York, Washington, or some American town, you know it's gotta be aliens.

If it lands in Chicago it'll just end up being a really bad Transformers movie.

Could this be the storied cannonball used in Newton's Orbital Cannon experiment?

Could this be the storied cannonball used in Newton's Orbital Cannon experiment?

No, it was an economy enhancing gift (+200% economic growth for 20 turns) from aliens that the EPA shut down because it was polluting too (-3 seafood, -1 potable water).

You think that political boundaries and USA#1 is visible from light-years away ?

Anyway, I find it quite worrying that such things can fall down on Earth without desintegrating in the atmosphere. Just imagine if it crashed in a crowded street - or even simply on some unlucky passerby...

Bolded for pointing out how correct that is. USA#1 is visible from as far away as 7,956,784,353.484 light years away. :yup:

Obviously those are alien spheres of influence. Watch out, Namibians.
According to IOT, a sphere of influence is simply land a player feels they will conquer. Who's controlling the Alien nation this turn?

:run: Indeed.

Could this be the storied cannonball used in Newton's Orbital Cannon experiment?

No, that cannonball is still being monitored to prevent collisions with satellites. Some people are taking bets on when that cannonball's orbit will deviate. Too bad the people betting never cannot win.:mischief:
