You didn't really think that all trains into London end up at Paddington, did you ? Paddington's the old Great Western station, sonny, and therefore serves the west. King's Cross for the LNER, Euston for the LMS, and Victoria, Waterloo, Charing Cross et al for the Southern Railway.

Since Abaddon's coming from Newcastle, that'll be on the old east coast main line, thus LNER territory, hence will arrive into King's Cross.

I do hope none of this has helped....


Regarding my attendance, well, it's quite likely. But regrets ? I had (and have) absolutely no regrets about not attending last time, however, and if I said so I was only trying to be polite....

Houston we have a problem...

Tickets that get me from Newc to Kings, go via(ish) LEEDS not durty Manc.. and would cost roughly £40 return.

If i want to go via manchester.. trains get very boring and cost £60

If i want to go via birmingham.. extremely boring in excess off £150!!!

So Mr BLCGLFG, unless you could freight across to Leeds (cant be too much?) Im not sure our drunken ronderview (spl?) will come off

hmmm i'll look into it, so long as its not too much i shouldnt see the problem but yeah i notice the brummie thing before.

And after messing it up a good bazillion times it appears that for me to get trains to leeds it would cost about 60 quid total return whereas from manc itd cost me about 40 pund. SO i dont really fancy paying the extra 20 quid for our bundle of fun but one of the trains changes at sheffield-thats sorta close to leeds so we could meet there?

well im up for a manchester meet anytime. London meet its got about a 60/40 chance of seeing me-40 quid on a train ticket and no drinking buddy are all negative factors against it....
