I'm afraid Sir Taliesin has decided not to come. It's too much money for too little time, frankly, and there's the danger of an international terrorist attack causing me to miss an exam, which would be disastrous.

I might be flying across the pond in February though, and if so I'll get on all your cases to have another meetup. Perhaps then even Mr Whompie might manage to put in an appearance.

I guess I could bring my French arrogance ? :p
Hah and I could bring the American version. We'd be quite a tandem Krys. :D
Who am I fooling? I'm supposed to be in NZ over spring break. :( :)

Well just run it past my wife and she's informed me that we have nothing in the Calender for Saturday 16th Dec, so I'll be up during the day Saturday. And away on the last train from Waterloo that night :)

Look forward to see new and old faces alike.

awww well if meli is going to be there i may make a concerted effort to save some cash to actually come down!

I should be getting my pay check (at long last) very soon, which means I shall be able to finally purchase the magical ticket that spirits me down to London next month :)

I say we stick to the cheerful drunkeness! What say ye?
After long, and complicated deliberation, I say yes.

Possibly with a side-dish of arrest for public lewdness?

You guys should definately have another one of these in Manchester. :thumbdown *sulks*

Down here, we don't let our spouses decide for us :smug:
That's because down there it's difficult to distinguish 'spouse' and 'family relative'.

Sorry, but unlike you lot, down here the spouse has to be the same species.

I've heard of this place you call Manchester.

Tis a fabled city of football and frolics in the cold dark north is it not?

Meli

Indeed it is and it is a 40 minute car journey for me.

However, I think we've already fully debated location etc.

we could have a manc meet up, it'll just be me sitting next to some fella who's decided to preserve his internet identity by dressing up in a gimp suit all except the mask which is just a giant cut out of his purple avatar.

kan would you be getting the same train as me? if so ill get a crate and we can arrive suitably merry :D

BCLG - Arriving 'suitably merry' at 11am or so is probably not the wiesest of ideas:lol:

Anyway. Lets plan.

Where shall the meeting point be?

What time should it be?

I say somewhere in central London, and at 11am, on Saturday 16th of December.

It's very possible. I'll probably get the same train as last time, which was the 0955-1701 direct trip. Can't remember the stops though. :)

I vote same place as last time. Relatively easy to find, and we can all get a coffee (or in my case, tea), while we wait for the arrivals.

And watch the people around us stare, as we introduce each other by our screenames, and then our real names, and talk about "that computer game", including a few foreigners, who appear to have come to talk about this game :)

Hmmm there will be more of us though and we were a bit cramped there last time, so maybe somehwere in the same area but which is larger? A coffe place sound slike a good plan though...though lets try and aoid the embarressment of us left-wingers sipping starbucks again;)
