What is going on in the UK?

No body in this thread is arguing for stopping all immigration, so the rest of your post is irrelevant.

Its sort of like Brexit in that regard. Only the crazies know what they want, and thats why they'll get their way. The supposed moderates get eroded by repeated failure and concede to their hardline "allies".

More likely than not, we'll see it all across the continent of Europe in the next two years. The centre Right will cross the red line to work with the Far Right and behave as if thats normal and reasonable. The a few years later I imagine there will be a mix of outright collapses from dysfunctional coalitions, or the centre Right ~*Mysteriously*~ adopting more extreme positions as if their failure are just from not going hard enough.

The supposed moderates get eroded by repeated failure

The thing is I am not convinced that the so called moderates are even trying to deal with many of the problems.

Those not in denial that there are problems are merely talking about dealing with them without planning to do much.

I know probably over a dozen people who went to the UK to claim asylum. I knew them in their home country and none of them were in danger there. One of them was telling me how he planned to travel home once he got permission to stay in UK, another I saw on FB that it looked like he had traveled home to visit.

Shabana Mahmoud made a good point how they want to still have an asylum system left in the end. It’s the real refugees who suffer from an overburdened system and an increasingly angry public who are tired of being scammed.

E.V. and Hybrid vehicles to pay-per-mile, how will that be tracked?

How will mileage be tracked and audited?

One of the biggest criticisms of road pricing to date has been how it will be enforced, with major concerns raised that it will require Big Brother-style black boxes that monitor every movement of the nation's motorists.
But Ms Reeves plans to quell those concerns with a less invasive system.
She instead will ask EV drivers to estimate their annual mileage and pay a fee based on that prediction.
If the motorist doesn't drive as far as estimated, the remaining money will be carried over to cover the subsequent year's mileage.
However, if they drive further than originally estimated, they would be required to top up their payment to the Government.
How mileages will be monitored and audited remains one of the major questions the nation's drivers - and shadow MPs - will have. And it too could trigger a rise in one particular type of fraud that's already prevalent in Britain... which we will come to later.

Sounds like eventually every car/vehicle (petrol and diesel cars sales ban from 2030) in the U.K. will be fitted a with a tracking, recording and monitoring device/tech.
Knowing the mob in charge, it will not just be resticted for pay-per-mile.

I guess some other PPM system to be implented for non-U.K. vehicles or at some point they too will be fitted with a spy box/device on entry to the nations roads.

Ord did the reverse first, do you also disagree with his assertion?
Any pushback is being dismissed as "racism" as if the conversation is over after that.
Its an easy way to just "lalalalalala, I cant hear you".
Immigration is one of many economic factors, so if you hyper-focus on it people are going to wonder why.
But the people jumping on this virtue bandwagon dont realize they are taken for a ride. Politicians make rich megadeals for these people and they and their friends get filthy rich.
Over the back of the indegenous people of the area and their safety.
And the media joins by happily labeling them as "far right" etc etc etc. and by parotting the lies, so they can get a share of the bag.
The Media makes big bucks hyping up "immigrant crime" hysteria, and Manufacturing/Service sectors are increasingly relying on automation to replace native workers rather than underpaying immigrants.

Quite so. The government is assuming its role is to control its citizens.

This is all rather indirect and recursive and running away from the topic thread.

Furthermore it is for Cloud to state what her views are, not for me to speak on her behalf.

Not credible. You and ord can claim you are blaming the politicians, but want action taken against the groups you hate/are scared of for no good reason.
"for no good reason"
Did you really say that?
Do you want me to make a collection of all the problems the UK has had with immigrants that are housed?

This took me literally one minute and one google search.

Your concern is the target of your emotions, not fixing the system.
Of course they are - as a result I'd hope Europe fixes its broken system.
The western world and its fruits are worth conserving.

So, out of those 7, and i'm sure there's more, how many Crimes were committed by British people during the same time? Or what the actual percentage of Asylum Seekers/Refugees who commit those kind of crimes. Those would be a worthy studies.

In a country of 65 million people single incidents are meaningless beyond their individual impact. We can look at wider data:

Crime and immigration: new evidence from England and Wales

Adopting this empirical approach to implement a causal research design, and contrary to the 'immigration causes crime’ populist view expressed in some media and political debate, we find no evidence of an average causal impact of immigration on criminal behaviour. This is also the case when we study A8 and Non-A8 immigration separately. We also study London by itself as the immigration changes there were very dramatic. Again, we find no causal positive impact of immigration on crime from our spatial econometric analysis and also present evidence from unique data on arrests of natives and immigrants which as well shows no immigrant differences in the likelihood of being arrested.

IMMIGRATION AND THE CRIME DROP: INTERNATIONAL PERSPECTIVES

While the limited evidence presented in this paper suggests that recent waves of immigration have not resulted in an increase in recorded crime, but rather may have contributed to the crime drop there are some variations between areas and different immigrant groups.

the impression that emerges from the four ‘snapshots’ that we have presented is that immigration has not been found to be generally associated with increasing crime, and as Robert Sampson (2008) has suggested immigration could be an important contributory factor in the crime drop at least in certain areas and amongst different ethnic groups.
