Well, this is embarrassing.

Solitaire is frequently unwinnable, though -- especially when you're dealing out 3 cards at a time.

That's why I play (WinXP) FreeCell instead. Apart from the notorious game number 11982... ;)

And that article led me to this vid, which (I'm sure everyone's already seen, but) I'm gonna post here anyway because I thought it was hilarious:

I finished the Citadel DLC. I did the party. It was funny to see everyone making fun of Shepard for her bad dancing.

I gave the Dungeon and Dragons, android game after the first hour it is utter grindy trash
The difficulty spikes from level 5 straight to level 8 where the mobs will one hit critical your party members, progression via exp is painfully slow
There are two separate dungeons, one with a timer and entrance fee which gives you decent exp and chance of loot. The other is mission dungeon which gives you barely any rewards. This is a stupid system limits your play time to maybe 30mins per day
Then there is the insane $20 per month subscription, which is a total joke given how crowded the phone game market is at the moment.

Iam might revisit it once it comes out of early access but tactical combat, loot based games are everywhere on android and plenty of better ones

How many legendaries is typical in a Pokemon game? Pokemon Y had 4 but only 2 of those were new.

If you owned all of games and all the requisite hardware, could you trade up sufficiently between game generations to get every single Pokemon? (Excluding stuff you could only get through promos and stuff) I am really tempted to do that except that I don't have much an appetite for grinding. Other than Pokemon Y, I haven't played any of the games since Silver came out but I remember that one and the generation before it required an awful lot of grinding. Y made it easier to catch Pokemon and made it easier to level up your team significantly.

it would be an exceptional grind to get all pokemon. and, as you said, some are only accessible via promos. gen 3, 4 and 5 were pretty good games. play them on an emulator to test, see if you even like them, then you can buy 'em.

on an completely unrelated note: I am playing Sekiro now, finally, and it's glorious and insanely hard. I've only managed 1 mini boss so far. probably on my 20th (!) try with the Shinobi hunter and I'm finally getting a feeling for him. Seems like every boss with a new moveset is a completely different challenge.

There are many different approaches to the shinobi hunter you could take so feel free to experiment. There is a miniboss ahead on the Ashina path who might be made easier by the tools on the Hirata path so the exploration is time well spent.

Spirit emblems never become a truly rare resource but if you've got gold you know is going to get thrown away in deaths then just spend it on them at idols.

But is it technically possible to trade between generations to the extent that you can collect them all excluding promos? The only inter-generational trading I've ever done was between Blue and Silver and that worked largely one way Blue->Silver because if you had any non 1st gen pokemon in your Silver party, the game would error out. Do later games work the same with trading? Or dies the jump between platforms (GB, GBC, GBA, DS, 3DS) break the trading chain?

I'm pretty sure it is possible but you need every one of those handhelds, you can't skip anything :p

and it would be one way, yes

alternatively, since modern games are just on an SD card instead of PCB memory, you can just cheat your collection together in one place without doing all of that nonsense.

Argh

So I just found out there is a special zone in Pokemon Y which allows you to catch basically all the Pokemon. However, access to the zone is dependent on how many people are in your friend list, which means registering a bunch of Friend Codes. I don't have any friend codes :(

My friend code -

There's also mythical Pokemon, which are stupidly only made available via events unless you hack or trade.

And this part. "Awkward?" "Awkward."

Spoiler pretty suggestive though I don't think it goes into NSFW category :

My side was losing 2-25 in the killcount in DotA 2 but we'd managed to bring their towers down (amid much suffering) and we managed to repel an attack on our ancient, then suddenly killed a few of them all together and stormed through to destroy their ancient.
So do I get to claim a victory if the score was 8-27? Because I think I've just suffered a moral defeat.

Ireland wins, but Krum gets the Snitch.

Yes, but I'm not sure which of the two my side was.

Spoiler Mass Effect 3 spoilers, maybe? :
Broke into the Cerberus HQ. EDI was a required party member and I also brought along Tali. I really did not expect Tali to go rushing up to one of those giant mechs and somehow manage to kill it solo with her shotgun while EDI and I were trying to deal with a sniper. And EDI used a fighter plane to blow a hole in the facility.

I've been using the Incisor sniper rifle. I like it. It shoots three bullets at once. I also took Energy Drain for my bonus power because I noticed that shields don't regenerate when tactical cloak is on. So if I do manage to get hurt I can go invisible and then quickly steal shields from an enemy.

EDIT: The Illusive Man is a [censored].

EDIT: I killed the anime dude. And I broke his crappy sword too. But how the hell did the Reapers manage to move the Citadel to Earth? Do they have a towing service?

Yep, Energy Drain is pretty sweet. It's a nice oh-crap button if you're out of shields and out of cover and need a few invulnerability frames.

The Incisor wouldn't have been my first choice, but you do you. :)

Well, regardless of whether I was Bulgaria or Ireland in my earlier match, this time my team had a more convincing 27-27 victory with not-Sylvanas the Drow Ranger taking 10 of our kills (I got a surprisingly high number of assists).

I need to play more of this.
