I hope secession is legal
Back at ya yanks:
I live in southern florida which is considered part of the south, but culturally its really not so as a result of you yanks moving down here, but anyway I see alot of people that always show off American flag prints on their porch and postal buildings or cars.
Considering nobody alive today has any real connection to the events of the american civil war i find it silly that many northeners are still attached to the USA logo after they moved down here.
The C.S.A was founded over disagreements on slavery plain and simple. But not anymore so you would think that northerners would appreciate the south now but eh.....
The decade leading up to the civil war and leading up to Lincoln's inauguration and the following cessation of southern states from the Union was ultimately over the intense disagreements on how to handle slavery in new states and whether to abolish it in old ones. I still haven't seen any convincing arguments that it was over a different issue and not slavery. But that don't mean they don't exist. Why be it a done deal?
Basically what im trying to say is if you really adore the Union states and what that cold land stands for. Understand that you are now in the south. When you are in the south of course.
But i don't judge someones character if they walk around wearing red neck union logos on their clothing or have a union flag on the back of their pick up truck. Although I do wonder why they hang down here and don't adapt their flags and then go around doubting that us native southerners are rational thinkers.
