You baited Lucky by talking down to him. Are you honestly surprised by his reaction? At least he hasn't gone into "facetious internet ebonics" mode.

Considering that my initial post to Daftpanzer did not mention Luckymoose in any form or capacity, he willingly chose to interact with me, without compulsion. I then responded to what I felt was a rather silly point in a fashion only slightly more egregiously than I did to Daftpanzer's point (which I also thought was silly). Now you are quite correct that I did put the word "dumb" in my post but that is neither an invitation or an excuse to use it back against me, nor did I have any power to determine the particular form of Luckymoose's response.

What you're essentially arguing is that Luckymoose has poor impulse control and that somehow that's my fault. I think it's obvious how ridiculous that assertion is.

It would be rather the same as saying that I intentionally endeavored to set up the last few pages of discussion when it's clear that a group of self-interested individuals went and did that all of their own accord.

Moderator Action: The last few pages seems to have been a worthwhile conversation that was getting out of hand. #NES has its own distinct and sometimes unpleasant style that has run roughshod over folks who don't "fit in". I've not been to the alternative yet.

Generally, I think that chat issues should not be part of the our forums, but I think a community wide discussion here might serve a useful purpose. You may carry on, but please leave the personal attacks and incivility at the door.

Hi all. As stated in #neverending last night, this semester has drenched me in my own sweat and tears. However, October (and to a lesser extent, early November) is the worst of it by far, and so I'll be back around here a little more often in the coming weeks. I don't want to post in the Jade Moon thread, so as to avoid any unnecessary bumping, but I am still attached to that NES and all of your exceptional ideas. It will come at some point; I only ask for patience.

If you do have any other ideas for geographic areas that have not been filled, or for the ruleset, I encourage you to go ahead and bump that old thread with meaningful content. I have filled up a lot of empty Surotsi space with encampments and oddball city-states, but none of those details have been posted, so be warned about that (any ideas on specifics are welcome, though). I guess at this point, other than in-game content, ideas on the ruleset and mechanics would be most welcome. My aim is to keep it rather traditional and simple.
