Who do you want to see as the 47th POTUS and why?

Is there anywhere I can bet on Trump NOT to be the next president? Is that a thing you can do?
The last 3 columns are exchanges, I think you can take either side of those bets.

Trump is too much of a liability. DeSantis is the GOP candidate I’d see. I have my doubts that the Democratic Party would have a non-woke candidate on the ticket or a third party candidate from the Libertarian Party Mises Caucus to even win a presidential election.
If this is still your definition of woke then I do not think you need to worry about a woke president in the next 1 or 2 cycles.

We've got to be getting close to when Arnold Schwarzenegger becomes president.
Not born in the US. The fact that someone who's main claim to fame is pretending to fight on TV is 8th highest odds shows that I am sure we would be close if not for that awkward fact.

Sure, but Arnold was a governor first. As was Reagan, another media-to-politics jumper.

I do think that if Trump had managed to win a gubernatorial election at some point, he'd never have gone on to be president.

That is why Americans need the 61st Amendment. Now I'm going to Taco Bell and reflect on how old I am

Someone who will give the Republican Party what it deserves

Adam Kinzinger.

Yeah, bird is right. The straight ticket puncher crowd probably can't handle a non straight handle. Gerrymandering him off the board immediately was intentional.

Agreed.

As far as choosing elected officials (or at least who I vote for), Trump has done me a great service; he's enabled Republican politicians to be very clear as to whether their loyalty is to money/power/relevance or to their country. Kinzinger, Cheney, Pence, Romney, and unfortunately very few others (at the federal level anyway) have passed that test. I frequently wonder how many Democrats would pass it.

I don't vote for anyone (regardless of party or ideology) that I don't think will pass that test, in federal and major state elections at least.

I dont see how Trump could win, he lost by a wide margin to Biden and those people wont be changing their minds no matter how bad it gets under the Dems. It'll be Desantis in '24 and I dont see the Dems coming up with anyone who can compete.

If Fetterman wins in Pennsylvania this year he could be possible, but he's a Berniebro and Wall St dont want that. Fetterman has populist appeal with both the left and right, AOC is a fraud. I'd like to see Gary Johnson as Prez but Joe Rogan would be a good 2nd pick. Jesse Ventura? Matthew McConaughey, the Rock. Its gonna take celebrity power to wade thru the muck in Wash DC, somebody with broad appeal.
