The same poll in March had her 16 pints back.
If you're 16 pints back and your competitors are still standing... best to just say good night and live to drink another day... you ain't catching up.
I'd be happy to vote for Warren if I had to. I will sit out if Biden wins the primary. :ack:
I suspect this sentiment is fairly common... which is why I expect Biden to get Kerry'd in the general.

As long as he doesn't become potus and THEN turns into something like the late Mccain, it wouldn't be that harmful.
But can you image Mccain as potus, if he was like he ended up being?

Crushing a part of Trump's agenda right from death's door so that he still tantrums if forced to remember we named a ship after the man for being at least somewhat more than a lying coward?

The reality is that we will probably have a USS Donald J. Trump, and other government buildings/monuments in his name at some point...

As I've mentioned before, I can see it now... The USS Donald J. Trump Aircraft Carrier... and Hotel Casino. Donald J. Trump High School... and Hotel Casino. Donald J. Trump Memorial Youth Baseball Field... and Hotel Casino. The Donald J. Trump FBI Building for Witch-Hunt-Fake-News... and Hotel Casino.

The possibilities are endless.:ack:

Hopefully I'll be dead by then. ;) and him too.

There is already a Donald Trump elementary school (or was it a highschool?).

Biden is Irish. ;)

Biden would not get Kerry'd. He'd get Mondale'd.

It amazes me that Joe Biden has run two previous disorganized, gaffe-filled, nonsensical presidential campaigns, and yet people are expressing surprise at how inept his campaign is. We should have been expecting this from day one.
This.

Democrats have a long history of pulling down front runners. Biden will just be the latest.

And then we'll have those things named after a man for being a lying coward. Just can't wait to see the library. Walk in an grab 'em by the books.

Am I the only one who remembers his congratulating/praising Obama as ‘articulate’?

I'll take any number of memorials, as long as the precondition is met.

What makes you think that? At the national level the GOP has entirely stopped bothering to contest states like New York or California, making a Reagan-style 1984 landslide highly unlikely.

Reversing what someone just said and repeating it with more vacuous hyperbole is hallmark Trump. Bonus, this strategy requires no analysis or recognition of political reality to be successful with the target audience.

Truth be told, I don't think Trump panders to his audience in the sense he worries over what to say to them for maximum effect because I think that requires too much forethought and planning of him. He just says a lot of racist and homophobic garbage and people react because coincidentally they are racist bigots and eat that crap up. It's an accident of history, not a stroke of genius.

It was a University. The failed, fraudulent, so-called "Trump University" that he was sued over and paid a $25 Million class-action settlement for. C'mon Kyr get it right ;).

No he wouldn't. That's the second time you've said that and its just as absurd this time as last time. Trump lost California to Hillary Clinton ... BY OVER 4 MILLION VOTES. He lost New York... his home state ... by nearly 2 million votes. He didn't even win the popular vote overall. The idea that he could match Reagan's 1984 performance is a preposterous, disingenuous, claim, and you should feel ashamed for making it. Shame! Shame! Shame! *rings bell*

I did not realize describing an African American as articulate is likely racist until I think Obama's second term. It just didn't occur to me that the implication is that most black people are not articulate and therefore it is notable when one is such that you'd call it out.

Edit: And it was especially weird to me this was racist because my entire childhood I was praised for being articulate. I'm white, fwiw.

Perhaps, but Fritz is actually a better candidate than Joe.

I give you that California will not support Trump. I do not give you Oregon or Washington. Even NJ amd IL are in play if Biden is the candidate. I know Hillary won IL by 16+%. That is the kind of blowout Biden might get into. He'll still have CA, MA, DC, NY but not much else.

Read Alex Haley's Roots and see how black folks' English speech is written down.

Are you sure about this? I think he is more articulate than his predecessor and definitely more articulate than his successor.

Lols. I own Alex Haley's Roots Tak... both the book and the entire miniseries, both volumes, on VHS. I've probably read most books written by a black person most people have even heard of... particularly the historic ones.

In any case I'm not sure what that has to do with Biden or my joke about his comment. Are you trying to say Biden's comment was excusable because his expectations of black people was totally based on the book Roots?

I wasn't talking about his fake university, but a school which got (re)named by the attending pupils/other in a vote, during the 2016 campaign, so they apparently chose to name it after the Donald :p
IIRC it was that school which used to be named after the CSA general?

That's the rub with the racist subtext of calling a person of color articulate. It can unintentionally signal someone's prejudice, it can also act as a dog whistle and it can also be a legitimate compliment. Unfortunately in today's state of affairs many people prefer to read in the racist subtext into something which should be positive whether or not the subtext is really there and there are also many people who harbor racist thoughts and use that phrase in a manner that hurts. In general I don't like it when people get so fragile that they are instantly triggered by things which should be positive; on the other hand, I can't deny that this compliment can be demeaning thanks to that racist subtext.
