I believe it is on the island between Uptown and Midtown. Though it may change depending on which story that is from.

I don't buy it. It's cool except that they include the Atlantic Ocean. The license plates on the cars are Illinois. I think it replaced Chicago more likely. The architecture matches Chicago style.

EDIT: Well, it appears Wikipedia says it is meant to be New York. I still think Chigaco is cooler though

DOUBLE EDIT: Christopher Nolan's Gotham is based on Chicago, using Illinois like plates and referencing I-78 in a car chase in Batman Begins. Pretty much everyone else has based it off of NYC.

Those license plates are only there in TDK, which was filmed mostly in Chicago. TDKR was filmed in Chicago and Pittsburgh, with some scenes in New York.

Anyway, Nolan's Gotham isn't the same vision as the comic Gotham.

Technically, Gotham City in the comics is in New Jersey. Metropolis is somewhere in New York State, but isn't just a replacement for New York City (which also exists and is the headquarters for, among other things, the Justice League).

There is another version of the map showing the regions in different colours, but I can't find it. Is it windy down there?

The thing is, there are lots of wind turbines around the fields here, but, as soon as you exit the county in any direction, you won't see any more turbines.
I guess we just have more investors, since it's not particularity windy around here. Maybe they just couldn't add us to Hydropia since we don't have any rivers ! (except temporary ones and the Danube).

That's alot of Buddha searches in Europe. Even more confusing is some of those are in Romania - i bet hardly anyone here heard of him.
