I'll probably join to vote for Rand, but am not an ideological Republican and I haven't joined yet so I can respond to this.
Cruz strikes me as wishy-washy. He already voted to give medical data to the Feds, and to my understanding, he's a bit of a hawk as well. Definitely not a John Mccain or Lindsey Graham, but I don't really trust him. I'd probably root for him over the Democrat but I'd probably still vote for the LP or CP candidate.
Ted Cruz isn't really libertarian enough. Rand Paul is at least close enough. But then, my standards are pretty high. I'd say RPF is about 50/50 on him....
The first part isn't true, since his mom was a US citizen. The second part is.I think he was born in Canada and so inelligible. I also think he's a firebrand dumbass who couldn't survive politically outside of TX.
Good thing he isn't going for the Libertarian Party nomination!Ted Cruz isn't really libertarian enough. Rand Paul is at least close enough. But then, my standards are pretty high. I'd say RPF is about 50/50 on him....
Ted Cruz is a nut who will further make a mockery of the Republican primary process if he attempts a run for Pres. Republicans should learn from their primary process mistake from last time around and streamline. No more endless debates with fringe candidates forcing the one or two guys who have a shot into a crazy-off with everyone else. "I want a fence!" "No, I want a fence, but it will be higher and with razor wire!" "Well I want a fence with sharks with laser beams on their heads! Laser beams!"
I hope Ted "Carnival" Cruz runs and gets some early traction.
I agree, it isn't impossible for a 3rd person to rise up if those two are in the game, but who?
Yet in the end Republican voters will have to content themselves with something nobody wants. In this case, particularly evil flesh-eating sea bass.Ted Cruz is a nut who will further make a mockery of the Republican primary process if he attempts a run for Pres. I think that's generally outside the purview of this thread. We're focused more on who's likely to run and how they're likely to perform. Your personal views are well outside the American mainstream, and thus shouldn't be a focus here. No, I know, I was just giving my opinion. .
Yes, that means that anyone you've never heard of right now is an automatic shoo-in for the Presidency. Because it happened before means it will always happen again.Don't forget that the last two Democratic Presidents were basically unknown on the national stage when they threw their hats into the ring. IT may well be someone nobody would think of until the 3rd or 4th primary and then it''s "who is this guy??"
Have we seen her long form birth certificate yet for verification? The first part isn't true, since his mom was a US citizen.
Obama was indeed born in the US... that's about the only true thing that he told us...
Seriously, why are you still mocking the birther crap? That was so two years ago![]()
Yeah, that's true too. I wonder if Scott Walker would put Wisconsin in play. The GOP gave everything it possibly had towards winning Wisconsin in 2012 and came up short.
The fact that PA probably has the most, or second most, vulnerable GOP Gov probably doesn't help their local brand.
"Some people wear Superman pajamas. Well, Superman wears Chuck Norris pajamas. And Chuck Norris wears Jim DeMint pajamas."

And they were both southern governors...
That said, don't forget that Biden flat out said it's not the last time his name will be on a ballot when he was asked on election day.
... what does this even mean? What are voters supposed to take away from this?
Because the left wants: The government to explode; to pay everyone; to hire everyone; they believe that money grows on trees; the earth is flat; the industrial age, factory-style government is a cool new thing; debts don’t have to be repaid; people of faith are ignorant and uneducated; unborn babies don’t matter; pornography is fine; traditional marriage is discriminatory; 32 oz. sodas are evil; red meat should be rationed; rich people are evil unless they are from Hollywood or are liberal Democrats; the Israelis are unreasonable; trans-fat must be stopped; kids trapped in failing schools should be patient; wild weather is a new thing; moral standards are passé; government run health care is high quality; the IRS should violate our constitutional rights; reporters should be spied on; Benghazi was handled well; the Second Amendment is outdated; and the First one has some problems too.
