Cacique Cunhambebe of the Tupis: 3d, animated, era specific, icons included

Here's the screenshot, sorry for the bad quality of the image, i formated the other day and currently dont have my paintshop :)
The cities from north to south are: Caeté; Tupinambá; Carijós; Guarani
There are a lot of cities in the map that are not perfectly placed because the map is not big enough. Also think i managed a good enough city placement for the iroquois, cherokee and lakota(sioux), but the navaho was completely random, with those city names it would be a pain searching for them on the internet ;) I'll show more screenshots soon, in my thread in Civ3 Creation & Customization forum.

Madeira, I don't see any big mistake, but some fine tuning is needed if you need/want historically-perfect placement. :)

The river on the east is the São Francisco, right? If so, the Caetés should be two or three tiles to the northeast. The Tupinambá were north of the Caetés, so, that city should be either the Tamoios or the Temiminós. Carijós should go just one tile to the southeast (that is, one tile south of the iron source).

And finally, Guaraní is just a generic name for...
1. All the Tupis (as in Tupi-Guaraní);
2. For the ones inhabitting Paraguay and the Mato Grosso swamplands, or...
3. For all the ones living anywhere from São Paulo to Uruguay. :)
So, they should go three or four tiles west. Either that, or you call them Carijós and the old Carijós become the Tupiniquim. :D

Also, what's that landmark forest?

Civarmy: Do you plan to release the Tupi units all at once, or is there an order on your mind? And, the big question... How soon will they be ready? :)

All: I'll do another map later today, showing all the Tupi tribes on the Atlantic coast... Stay tuned. :)

I'm posting in hours in CFC the South African and Mercosur civ, after then I'm do more 8 new civis (Taiwan, Visigoths, Abyssininans, Mapuche and other that I posted somewhere...), so, when I finish these new 8 civis, I'll start the production of several units, some of the first ones will be 6 Tupi ones. I learned how the texture system of Poser works, so, I can do some body paint in the units, they will be aweson (I hope). My units will be done in the same speed of the leaderheads and with the same quality, I'll work for it.

Hes making the Compaheiro Admirable(Venezualian UU), a Motorized Settler(A guy with a fancy 1940s era car) as well. Could be more though.
Yes, there's more... The Pucará and the Granadero a Caballo, both for the Argentines, at least. But he mentioned six Tupi units...

Anyway, as promissed, here's the map... Only the tribes on the Atlantic coast are on it, plus the Guaiacurus, because they already were on the other map. :)

To check the first units, see the preview image, they are Tuoi and non-Tupi, mainly from Latin America.
I hope make 6 Tupi units, that 4 that was cited by Stracks. (I can't remember his last name  ) + "domador de Jaguatirica" (I can't remember his Tupi name, a fantasy unit that rules a beast of Brazilian forest) and Musketer Tupi (aka that slaves hunter that worked to Portugal).
Just few leaderheads and the unit storm begins!!! :goodjob:
BTW, nice map Carlos, I don't know the position of all that Tupi tribes.

That's the Iaguara-abá (or Iguarabá). Best translation, "jaguatirica tamer", literal translation, "man of the jaguatirica".

The Pokabá-abá ("man with boom-making thing")... Yay! :goodjob:

Just follow the instructions on my signature: "If you find it hard to spell, just call me Carlos". :p

Thanks for the map Straczynski! I did the changes you sugested, even added another city.
The landmark Forest is a different type of forest i called 'Woodland', it has the same stats as a regular forest with one simple difference that has a hell of an impact in the way the AI treats it. You can mine Forests for an extra shield, but not Woodland, which means the AI will allways mine the forests (leaving them in place) and clear the Woodland if the base terrain is better (if its grassland they'll clear the woodland because grassland gives more food). This way, you'll still see a good quantity of forests in developed areas even late in the game.

Civarmy, I have no predictions of when it will be ready, I finished placing the cities the other day and I've just finished assigning starting techs to each civ along with placing some city improvements in the cities, starting population and culture. Im doing this scenario almost from scratch, I deleted every unit which means I have over 300 units to add, allready made some rules on paper to help with the unit balancing. After im done checking the forum im going to start adding the generic units for the ancient age, then there's some stuff I want to test concerning AI settlement. I might release an early version when the ancient age is ready for testing, dunno, but it will be a big download because of all the leaderheads and units in it ;)
By the way, im going to need those tupi units soon, hehehe. As I said im starting with generic units today, then i'll beggin adding the civ or region specific units, the native american ones will be the last though, dont know how long it will take me to do the rest.

I heard a story of someone who kept one of those as a pet....they are supposed to be pretty intelligent...

The Tupi do not use these animals as weapons, this unit that tame a Jaguatitica is a fantasy unit. This is a tipical animal of the Brazilian forests, here we don't have tigers or lions.
I don't think it is a good idea take one Jaguatirica to home, I'm not sure if they could turn a sugar pet  I saw on TV some crazy people in Brazil that have adult lions in home (poor people who bought them when they were a puppy from circus), but I don't think it is a intelligent idea sleep among some angry (and hungry) lions

why does he have the headress for ancient not medieval. should they be switched?
