I really like this mod, but you have to play him was torture - continuous brakes. The game is so slow, that lost all desire to play. Noticed that the game slows down when changing unit and manipulation in the window of city. Brakes noticed since the mid game. Tell me how you can speed up the game.

You can disable the extra diplomacy text by placing an _ underscore in front of this file:
/Civup/Text/en_US/ExtraDiplomacyText.xml

Thank you for answering my question!

And I just found a problem about the translation.
"/Interface/Overrides/Misc/TopPanel.xml" and "/ModTools/Libraries/CustomNotifications/CustomNotification.lua" are using the raw texts.
I mean, they can use TXT_KEYs (e.g., TXT_KEY_NOTIFICATION_POPUP_PLOT and TXT_KEY_TOGGLE_CLOCK_FORMAT) but they doesn't.
I personally solved this problem by fixing them, but I hope it will be solved in the next release or so.

Thanks for the hard working, it enhance the game a lot!
But I met a problem to load the save within gameplay, I mean I have to quit to the mainmenu then go to mod to load the game, but using mod is very slow... Is there a bug or how can I set it right?

Is it possible to update the GK patch so it will work with the new LUAJIT dll which does speed up the game. If i use the mod with this new file i get the ui failed to load error.

You can try this new file which has proven to speed up the game. However you wont be able to use the unofficial GK patch.

Hi Thalassicus, and thanks again for your continuous work on this mod. I really like this mod.

2 questions:

1) At some point, you introduced map scrolling while in the city screen. I would like to disable this - is this possible in an xml file or something? I keep bumping into the edge of the screen when scrolling through buildings and such. You could already scroll the map by holding the left mouse button on the terrain background, so this is an unneeded feature for me.

2) Have you looked at airplane animations at all? As you know, they are really slow in the default game. I tried changing a few values to speed up the actual animations - and it works - but sometimes planes just keep circling and circling and circling until finally the battle is resolved and the damage is done. Do you have any idea what causes this / if it's possible to fix it.

I thought Thal and Gedemon had figured out an incompatibility issue with the two of their mods for aircraft speed/turns, etc so both were going to use aircraft speed changes (by default)?

I already tried it, and:

a) It doesn't even work with CivUP
b) It doesn't fix said problem (circling for a long time before the battle is resolved)

that's weird, all it is is one line of code so I don't see why it should clash with civup..

Beats me. I tried changing the values in the code as well to no effect.

But changing these number directly in the game files worked (took backup first of course). Animations are faster, but the circling problem still persists.

Oh my god how I miss CiV!

I've been waiting for a fix of some of the bugs (mainly belief and happiness bugs) before starting a game as I found the bugs game breaking last time I tried. The waiting is killing me! I'm finding myself checking the forums a lot of times each day, looking through all the threads but...

Ah well, guess I'll just have to focus on real life (but where's the fun in that )
