Long Time, no chat, but old Jericho says hi.

Why was I gone? Well, I had to finish some PhD stuff, and I also got very busy because I'm transitioning jobs.

I'm proud to say that the next time I do an Ask an Economist thread, I'll have to edit the title and make it an Ask a Senior Economist thread. In a few weeks I'll be joining the FDIC, and I'll be one of those regulators trying to keep loan behavior honest!

So, I just wanted to say hi again!

Hi again. FDIC sounds cool. Somehow I had sorta pictured you trying to get a job at the Fed. ;)

Congrats! Now you are one step closer to running the economy with an iron fist!:mwaha:

Congrats

Congratulations on finishing that PhD (stuff)!

Thanks. Just a dissertation now.

The Fed requires a PhD, which I don't quite have yet. The FDIC isn't that far behind in terms of status. Check this out. Best place to work in the federal gov't!.

I'll try to use my powers wisely.

Congrats on the new job. Be sure to keep those greedy ***tards in line.

That's the idea.

So you're still an economist?

I'm a Senior Economist!

Thanks dude!

I suppose this is a good time to get in those questions about economics and the financial arms of the gov't, before I actually become part of said arm.

Congratulations that all your hard work is paying off.

Oh my gods! Jericho is now a Phd, the economy id ruined.

BTW, now that you're back we can finaly make the investin challange with real money! I was waiting for that! YAY!

@Cutlass: He's keeping the Fed job open for me. No need to compete when we can run a parallel strategy. :p

@JH: look for the Washington OT meetup thread. And of course, congrats on passing all of your field exams and on the new job.

I'm confused.

I finished all my PhD Classes. Still awaiting results on my last non-class field exam, and I am working on paper #1 of my dissertation.

See above, not a PhD yet.
I forget the investing challenge, but I won't be watching the markets much for the next month. New job and all, plus my current portfolio is still doing wonderfully.

You're an economist?

How the hell did I miss that?
dont know if joke or serious ::confused::

Don';t quite know about that field yet, but I am hopeful. DC meetup, I am game! And yeah, I have total plans to move Integral into whatever unit I'm in when he decides its time to fed up.
