How did you join the OT Forums?

I joined the main forums first, but after civ 5 came out i hated the game so i decided to look around the site and discovered the Off topic forum, I found a lot of people who had political views far different from my own and other who surround me which made the debating far more interesting and better than the debates we have on the main forums.

I joined the upper forums to whine about vanilla Civ III, then Vanilla Civ IV, and now Civ V.
I never even knew there was an OT until someone pointed out the cool Sagan/Hawking music video about a year ago.

i was a longtime lurker in CFC in its main forums before i started posting comments. i was using the site to snipe strategy guides and walkthroughs for civ 3. i registered and joined shortly after civ 4 came out and felt i had to comment on some asinine comments about combat stacking and defense values and why Ghandi is the worst civ leader ever iirc. lol.

i discovered OT inadvertently while i was searching for mod tools and modded versions for my alpha centauri. a short length of scrolling further down, and i found OT.

I joined to download new stuff for Civ II: MGE, and hung out in the Civ2 section to try to spread the glory of my puny empire. I discovered OT almost right away, and I came to OT because I was naive enough to believe I could convince people Pluto could be terraformed.

Registered due to an amazing Civ III scenario, gradually started posting here.

Kind of like of this. I registered to get technical support for a couple of Civ III mods. I noticed OT, but I decided it was too big for me to enter, so I went dormant for about a year. Then, I came back, and took on OT, as well as participating a bit in the rest of Colosseum.

I joined CFC to play in a couple of forum games (notably Chandrasekhar's Night of the Werewolves VII) but posted in OT as well because I had also lurked there for about a year before joining.

While I did make some posts in the Civ IV section, that was only really for postcount-boosting reasons, because I'm the world's worst Civ player (think I managed to win on Noble once... just once though). Nowadays I don't bother with that charade.
