Wasn't some of the slowdown in OT caused by the creation of social groups anyway?
I also respect the fact that the odd short, lighthearted post is allowed in the chamber without the hammer coming down as long as it's not overdone. Posters seem to self-moderate which ultimately is the ideal.
Based on two threads last year, what CFC OT posters want the most, at least one of the 5%ers is known for delivering. Why would you want to take away what CFC OT posters want?Ban the top 5% of offenders

I think it's naive to think that any sort of forum organisation is going to improve the quality of discussion in OT.
As long as Our Usual Suspects; the trolls and other problem posters, are still around.
