NOTW XXIX: Hired Swords - Game Thread

Ghost comment: it's day now though. So get to talking, NAOooooo

It's definitely day at the moment. One would think
It is now day! Night falls in 60 hours!
would sort of give it away :p

I believe that Paulus's comments were directed at the restless spirits.

Also, let's decide on who should train Khazaar.

OOC-

Spoiler :
I would volunteer to train Khazaar, if I can; is there something I need to do, or do I need to have that ability specifically spelled out for me in my role message? So far as I know I can't do it if you need some ability or whatever.

I have no immediate objections to where the items go, though I must still protest that I am woefully under-powered and wished to have something nice in my possession for a change. I'll decide where they should go after we have a discussion.

Where is everyone?

"With the presence of the combination of the sword and shield, I'd like both items to see if there is anything special with possessing both at the same time. If there is, a few select parties will be notified and a possible item transfer may commence depending on what/if the two items do together.

"As for our lynch vote today, sadly I do not have anything nearly as concrete as I have had the past two days. However I will throw out this for discussion: it is possible the names thrown out during Nictel's defense of himself were intended to separate himself from other possible Undercouncil Agents. It's also possible he was working alone the whole time and was hoping we'd instead lynch someone inactive. One of these people may be on his team, they all may be, or none of them may be, and there's no way to really tell. So unless anyone has anything more concrete, I'll place my accusation on Malakh for the reason above and I'd like him to answer this small question: what exactly is a Fyrdwell?"

So, we're back to lynching inactives? Well, I think that's a not a bad idea and don't have any better ones, so I too will vote Malakh.

To avoid a runaway bandwagon, I will refrain from accusing for now.

However, I see no reason to support Malakh either. If he doesn't respond to these accusations, I will join in.

Spoiler :
OOC- I was just about to post something, a long-winded harangue about people not talking or accusing. Nothing will kill this game like an inactive player roster. Thank you, Krill.

Two days is enough time. Respond, Malakh.

Since we're going after the silent ones again, I'd like to let cindle know that I haven't forgotten his failure to respond last time I asked.

(OOC: Has anyone ever won NotW without making a single post? In any case, it's not a trend we should encourage. The enforced voting thing may have been a little too extreme a remedy, but there ought to be some deterrent against complete inactivity.)

TheLastOne36 can have the Mithril Sword/Shield.

BL can have the items. Since we're back to lynching inactives, I think johnhughthom should speak up.

By now the group had become thinned, and many of the members had grown quite grim from all the murders. The few of the men that still spoke to others were arguing the case that the silent men were the cause of the murders - and in this case, the Fyrdwell Malakh was accused and brought out.

"..."

The silent Fyrdwell was sentenced to death, and thrown off a cliff. He never said anything in his own defence, neither did anybody else. Nothing was found in his tent that indicated allegiance other than the Company.

Spoiler :
Malakh was loyal to the Company.

Dinner was had in silence as well. The night came soon after.

Both the sword and the shield were handed to the Adventurer in the vote.

It is now night! Daybreak in 25 hours! (and next time don't vote after the deadline. any votes after the deadline have been ignored!)

Another night, another death.

This time the Sharpshooter had been the victim of the brutal killings. He had been hacked apart with a sword - the sign of the same killer that had struck before. And again, notthing was found that had indicated his guilt.

Spoiler :
Choxorn was loyal to the Company.

The Sharpshooter had carried an elven bow with him. It would be voted on along with the execution.

The Company had thinned considerably. Would they still be able to make it out alive?

It is now day! Night falls in 48 hours!
