What does it take for a resolution to pass in the World Congress? 1 more Yea than Nay, or something more complicated?

I'm playing Trajan with the old rules on the continents map. Though I change the seeds every time I play seems like I start out every time in the same place on the same map. Must I conclude that:
1: The Continents map is static? You don't get a new variation each game? I do notice that city states are in different places.
2. My guy is going to start out in the same place every time on that same map?
How can I get more maps?
Someone explained to me that the game seed is included in a saved setup and will give you the same map unless changed. I type 3 random digits into both seeds every time I start a game, but this doesn't seem to change the map I get.

It just takes more yeas than nays. If you are after the Diplo Victory points, you need to get both parts passed - the nature of the resolution and the target. If you get a draw, you can still win, but I'm unsure as to how it's calculated in that case.

No... continent gives different maps all the time

are you sure you are not using a true start location map ? that would explain it I think, though I never use those map scripts

as for the seed, if you start the game without going to advanced options it will always use a new seed... if you DO use advanced options to select specific starting conditions, and especially if you save your parameters, you have to go and delete any characters in both the seed boxes

hope this helps !

How can I adopt a religion that has already been founded? Is this possible in Civ VI?
You can be converted to another religion, but you can't win a religious victory with it - you have to use your own founded religion for that.

Can I accelerate a building by buying factories in that city while I'm making it
It seems obvious, but I'm not sure it's working.

Yes, building effects kick in the moment you buy them.

Yes, although it will only affect the remaining production.
So if you had a 10 prod city building something requiring 100 prod building, it would take you 10 turns. If after 5 turns, you buy the factory, you get +3 prod, so now you have 13 prod. With 50 prod remaining on the building, it will take 4 turns to complete, shaving one turn off, and you'll have +2 prod overflow. You'll get the building in 9 turns total. Had you bought it initially, it would have only taken 8 turns with +4 overflow.

The problem you might be seeing is that often by the time I'm buying factories with gold (due to time it takes to set up an economy that generates enough spare gold for that purpose), my cities have higher production. If you do the same calculation for a 20 prod city, the factory won't affect the ETA of the building - even if you buy it the very first turn. I believe you get overflow though, so it may or may not be worth getting in the long run - it depends on what else you could spend that gold on.

I am playing my 1st (vanilla) Civ6 game, and I have these questions:

1) I wasn't able to harvest (I mean the action that removes the resource from the map) bonus resources, like crabs, stone, wheat. The bulldozer icon is always greyed out. And yes, I had the respective techs that should unlock harvesting.

2) My first tries to spread my religion with Missionaries had very different results
- both effects (+200 and -10% pressure) were applied
- only -10% pressure was applied
- no effect was applied
The UI didn't warn me that something failed, visually all three attempts appeared equally. In order to find out what happened, I had to use the religion lenses and check the balloon at the city with exact pressures.
Is it a bug? Or what are the game mechanics and/or math hidden behind?

3) Can I find out whether my/enemy unit is fortified, and which level of fortification it is? In Civ2 fortified units were distinguished visually.

Thank you for any help.

The icon for harvesting is not bulldozer, it is the scythe. Bulldozer is for removing features, like forests, marshes etc. Yes, it is a bit confusing, but in cases like rice on a marsh, you have to be able to choose what to remove.

Can't answer 2), as for 3), when a unit fortifies, its icon changes shape into a shield, iirc.

1) Oh, the scythe is not on the left side with the bulldozer and other specific icons related to the builder, but on the upper bar among the general icons related to units (like move, sleep). That is confusing though.
Thank you.

3) Thank you again, only now I noticed some units have a shielded icon. But, in the attached image the status of units is (from left to right): alert, fortified, skip turn. And I see no visual difference between alert and fortified.

Also I see no visual difference between levels-of-fortification (level 0=preparing to fortify, level 1=+3 CS, level 2=+6 CS)

2 Questions:

1. Why in the very early game do random hidden unconnected tiles reveal themselves? This doesn't always happen but every once in a while I'll see some random tile's information even though I've not revealed anything near it.
2. I'm lost on how Akkad works mid to late game. In the early game it's very clear but there does not seem to be any damage difference post-Renaissance walls. Does the bonus just not affect Renaissance and the steel upgrade?

How does this work exactly? I’ve upgraded an apostle to a medic, placed him on a tile surrounded by by hurt apostles, and then what? They don’t appear to heal.

I figured out I can have them heal themselfs by placing them on or next to a holy site, or with guru’s of course.

I’m not that familiar with holy warfare that much yet

medic apostles are for healing your NON-religious (as in Military) units. That's what medics do.
Surprising, isn't it (it was for me).

Caveat: I don't do religion that much, and I DO have some faulty memory circuits on occasion.

I always thought they were for healing other religious units! that explain why they sucked XD
Knowing that, Byzantium is going to be insane!

One question!

Does the Monglonian's Ordu gives the "+25% combat experience for all siege units trained in this city" that the standard stable gives?

In the fandom page it says that the stables give this bonus but not the Ordu.
