So I had to search this up because I myself don't remember these exactly:
Courser upgrades to Cavalry
Cuirassier upgrades to Tank
So, unless you just made a mistake writing it, as they are extremly similar in name, you should be able to build both (Cavalry and Cuirassier) as they are two different classes.

That still wouldn't explain why would they be disappearing, though. Are they not listed at all or simply greyed out? Is it possibly related to Iron/Horses, maybe losing source of it, or something?

In current game, I have all techs for tanks, artillery and the rest, up to mech inf, but I lack any oil at all. So I am stuck with pre-oil units. (Well, normally I won't make new military in such a position, but now I am Alexander) I noticed that some of my cities can build cavalry but not cuirassiers, and other vice versa. I failed to find any logic or scheme about this. Moreover, they switch: a couple of cities suddenly stopped building cuirassiers and did nothing for several turns, until I paid attention and reassigned them to cavalry. What may be reason for such a folly?

Cuirassiers needs Iron and is HEAVY cavalry, cavalry needs horses and is LIGHT cavalry. So... if on top of having no oil, you ran low on either horses or iron, then they would become greyed out in the city production screen. One and the other are TOTALLY unrelated in unit type OR ressources needed

Not listed. Tanks were greyed out.
I had tremendous number of horses and decent number of iron, slightly more than 20.

According to Google, you force Immortal melee with move action. Try that with GDR.

Quick question, does a religious emergency cause a war declaration?

My neighbor just passively converted my holy city, I'd like some free relic and 3k gold, but shes my friend and I don't want to war her over it.

A question about Play by Cloud:

Hello!

I just started a PBC game with some friends. Whenever I click to end my turn, the game closes entirely. Is there a way to avoid this happening so that you're left in-game or at least only taken back to the main menu?

Any help or advice would be awesome :)

I am thinking of buying Civ VI. What would you recommend to buy?

Is the Platinium edition the most complete? Would that be the best option? Or are there more straigthforward suggestions?

Is it worth to play Vanilla and Rise&Fall ? Or should I just go for the final module?

Yes, Platinum Edition includes everything released to date. Best option.

Not really. Leave Gathering Storm ruleset on and have fun!

You folks have pretty much answered my questions - thanks! I am an old Civ III and Civ V player (you can look up my ancient posts about them in the archives). I bought Civ VI when it came out but am only just now getting around to playing it. Of course most of the posts around here are from folks playing Gathering Storm! Since I already bought the vanilla game, I don't really need the Platinum pack, but it sounds like I should go ahead and invest in Gathering Storm.

Here's another quick question: Is there an area where people are playing Civ VI succession games? I used to read those threads a lot in my Civ V days and I learned a ton from them, but I couldn't find any for Civ VI.

Gathering Storm won't include all the DLC civilizations and scenarios, nor the ones included in the Rise & Fall expansion.
I think you'll find that the Platinum Edition is discounted on Steam if you already have the base game and will just get you what you don't already have.

Thanks for the tips.

Just a few more questions:
* Is it possible to buy Civ VI without being via Steam?
* Are most players playing it via Steam?
* Can multiplayer games be played by players with Steam and without Steam?

* Is it possible to buy Civ VI without being via Steam?
You can buy it from other retailers, but invariably what you get at the end is a Steam key. Steam is required to play.

The only way to avoid playing via Steam is to buy it on consoles (XBOX, PS4, Nintendo Switch) or IPad/IPhone.

* Are most players playing it via Steam?
This is a rather difficult question to answer when no reliable statistics is available for the player count on other platforms.

* Can multiplayer games be played by players with Steam and without Steam?
I can't answer this, I have no MP experience.

What requirements need to be fulfilled to see what each of another civilization's cities are producing and how many turns it takes to produce?

I had this happen during a game (probably from diplomacy), where I (Poundmaker) could see the icon of what another player's (Cleopatra) cities were producing and how many turns until it was finished. However, I couldn't find an answer on the wiki or internet as they all say it tells you when something started and not a live display for other civ cities on the map itself.

Hi everyone iam a huge fan from all CIV games, but i have a question that is killing me.
I remember a unit from one of the civilization games which is literally a man is a desk
i remember the corporate executive and another units, but this one looks so funy because this unit walks through
the roads around tanks and another advanced units with a desk in front of him.
My question is. From Which game is? and what is his name?

Thanks to all.
