Another question that I have is how Growth % bonuses work.

I mean, If I build the Hanging Gardens, how does the 15% growth affect the cities? is Magnus ability (20% growth) and Fertility Rites Paheon exactly the same as the Hanging gardens one?

Thanl you all!

Hinduism is owned by India, I am roman. But I can build a warrior monk in a city converted to Hinduism while the religious bonus is in the first row. And in the civiclopedia I have read that the first row is for owner only. How is that possible ?

I think the first Belief (Follower) can be used by all civs that have this religion. Warrior monks is a Follower belief so your cities with Hinduism will have this ability (and the cultural bomb from religious districts).

My understanding is that for each citizen, you need x amount of food to support. Each turn, your city's food is added, and the citizen's requirement is removed. If there is surplus food, this kept in the "basket". If the basket fills, you get a new citizen. As you have more citizens, the basket gets larger, making it more difficult as your city grows.

With that in mind, 15% applies to the surplus food. So if you have 57 food coming in, and 50 food going out, that gives you a native surplus of 7, so you'll gain +1 food, giving you 8 food per turn instead. That makes the effect of the x% growth rate increases pretty marginal.

How population affect science ? It is just the more population you have, the more science you have ?

What is the category that can only be used by the owner then ?

These would be the ones in the "Founder beliefs" and the "enhancer beliefs".
You can check them in this url: https://civilization.fandom.com/wiki/Religion_(Civ6)

Not very good... I always thought that the Hanging Gardens were good...

You get Science and Culture per Citizen. It's 0.5 Science per Citizen and 0.2 Culture per Citizen.

Quill above Book: Only the Founder benefits, usually rewarding him for spreading the religion like peanut butter all over the map
Candle: Not sure If only the Founder benefits, but usually only helps him, as these increase quality of spreading religion or rewards from doing so, like making your Religion-spreaders move faster
5 People: Any city following this Religion benefits
Praying Hands: Any city following this Religion that doesn't have Tier III Holy Site building may build this building. Once built, may not be exchanged, even If the Religion changes or it gets pillaged.

Not sure If I understand what you're asking, but % benefits usually add up instead of being applied one by one. So If you have Hanging Gardens and Magnus in a city that's 35% Growth increase.

What are all the ways to improve visibility?

I know that you can improve your level agaisnt another civ with an spy, sending an embassy and with Goddard GP, but are they other ways?
I'm pretty interested as some of them are lost (I think) when you declare war, as with the embassy.

After playing with mongols I have discovered how useful the visilibity is!

If you go to the Visibility Tab it lists them. Including the hilarious advices like "Play as Catherine de Medici".

Very stupid question but what does make this star feature ? I can already build farm on wheat without it. Does it mean you can chop them or something else ?

Stars are any other bonuses that don't have standardized icon, for example, effects. You can express Granary or Plantation being unlocked through icon, but not +1 Food from every two adjacent Farms to all Farms, which too is noted as star at Feudalism Civic.

In this case, yes, the bonus effect you get is that you may harvest Wheat, Rice and Maize.

Does the water tiles give a give a big bonus for trade (for gold income) ? In one game I hade 25 gold for a trade route (while other were only +4gold) and in the detail it was because of bonus (trade post and water tiles) but I had no trade post because the road was direct from one city to this CS city.

At the beginning they propose to receive a delegation. I refuse it until I know if I am going to make war with them or not because I have read that it increases the diplomatic visibility and so it gives a military bonus against my units. Am I right ?
Sometimes, they propose to exchange the situation of the capitals and I find this very useful. But sometimes not, and I do not understand the trigger that makes it happens. Can you propose yourself to exchange the information of the capitals ?

What is the use of getting not luxury resources when you become the suzerain ? Here I can get a cow, what is it for ?

I think only Genghis Khan gets a combat bonus for diplomatic visibility. Other than that it's just informational bonuses. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong.

I don't know how go trigger the capital exchange yourself.

Some city states give bonuses for "bonus resources" (like cattle/cows) but that isn't one, so I'm not sure why it gives you bonus resources. Are you playing with a mod that might somehow make cow/cattle a luxury or strategic resource?

I've never paid close attention, though. Maybe if you get bonuses from bonus resources (say, from another city-state) then you'll get them from other city-states as well. Hopefully somebody can clarify.

You are wrong. Everybody gets combat bonusses from diplomatic visibility (called information on enemie movement or sth like this in the preview of the combat), Genghis ability doubles this bonus for him. And he also has a special ability to get more visibility. You can accept every delegation you like though since once war is declared delegations are canceld anyway.

I guess the capital exchange thing is dependant on the place where you meet. Near your cities - you can invite them to you. Near their city - they can invite you. Somehere else - you can exchance infos. I am not sure about this one though.

I have the card that makes the first "emissaire" couting for two but after have waited many turns it still count for 1.

edit - I found the solution, it works only for an "emissaire" that you have not sent yet.

This card only counts in the moment you get the first envoy. If the card is active at this point you get 2 envoys permanently (even if you swap the card out afterwards) instead of 1. Plugging it in afterwards does not change anything.

I have Tomirys (scytes) as a neighbor. Her personality is to attack only those who have griefs. To be secure I made friendship with french because she likes those who are friends. But the smiley icone is orange. Does she attack regarding her personality or the orange icon (if she does not like me or not ) ?

I dont understand the diplomacy

There are other reasons she may not like you, especially on higher difficulties. Pleasing her agenda is just one thing. But I have already been attacked by Green-Face Gilgamesh so I am not expecting anything anymore from those vile AIs, they are all evil.

She may attack you with orange face If she finds use of Surprise Attack. But usually you should be most afraid with Red Face. After 10 Turns (Standard Speed) of Denouncement (Red Face), both parties may declare Formal War with less Grievances. So basically Red Face is often though not always a warning. Best way to predict war is to have vision (map vision, not diplomatic visibility) and watch their units. They don't tend to be subtle about preparing their army for war.

It's 5 turns, and the denounced can declare war straightaway. The biggest factor in whether they'll attack or not is comparative combat strength - the better your relationship, the further behind in CS you can be without them declaring war, but get too low, and they'll take advantage. If you're far ahead in CS, they'll basically never declare war.

I have the feeling that they do not attack if you have a strong army, may be they use the military statistics to decide if they do attack or not.
Do you use the personality of the leaders ?

I read once that the bonus from Hanging gardens and the one from Fertility rites were different.

One affected before the food consumption and the other after. I wanted to know better, as I thought that the gardens were a good wonder. If all the growth bonuses are apply after the food consumption, I think, is a weak bonus... as the quantity is not very noticeable...

Thank you very much for the visibility tip!
