at my school the guys and girls are separated from ~9 am - 5 pm in the basement of the physics building

don't think there's any policy on that though, it just happens :dunno:

Here at my college, we don't have co-ed dorms. Guys and girls are allowed into each other's lobbies and lounges, just not the rooms.

However, every once in a while, there is an open house period, where you can go into any room you want. This time is only an hour long, but it's just long enough for me to take five small packages of chocolate and deposit one each into five girls' rooms.

Generosity and brownie points.

that sucks

wait. how are you supposed to get it if chicks can't even go into your room at any time? this doubly sucks. living off-campus is amazing.

No campus is even better. The world city is your oyster.

Wait... there are girls in the Physics building? What sorcery is this?

only if people take it seriously

which, in my experience at least, engineer's dont.

Forgive me, mv, you walked right into this one...

few things legitimately annoy me more than the "all engineers/physicists are guys" stereotype. for christ's sake i dated one
Why did you break up with him!

Just submitted a job application to an IP law firm where a friend works. Since she recommended it I have a good chance of getting at least an interview which should be good.

Plus, I'm discovering the wonders of 90's punk music with The Offspring.

What is it then? I always thought they were classified as part of that, but your knowledge of music is far in excess of mine.

I hate when something which has an identifiable smell seems to suddenly smell differently for no apparent reason.

I hate how so damn many of my classmates come to class drenched in BO because showering would distract from marathon anime-watching sessions.

Oh come on though, it's not like there's even close to an equal ratio of guys to gals in engineering. And if you go to an all-enginee ring school like mine, it's even worse. The ratio is greater than 80% guys to gals and if you discount the Engineering Management and Business students, it's closer to 90%.

It's not like I'm looking for girls, but not having any on campus leads to a very weird campus culture; the kind of culture where it's permissible for a huge chunk of the student body to not shower or brush their teeth and to treat the few women in class like garbage.
