Hey, Tim Geithner, did you really play frisbee with Bigfoot?

Im in love!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm happy to know I can still get picked off as being a New Yorker by my accent alone. I'd thought tv and whatnot had killed the accent.

Congrats for the newlywed.

Me? Well... 1) it looks like I'm going to New Orleans again, 2) got a very part-time job for the fall in New Orleans doing tax law, 3) am in top 30% of my class. It's not good enough for law review but frankly I don't think I would have it in me anyway. 4) it looks like I have connections in both Orleans and New Jersey, and 5) law school now seems like a stable vocational idea. Even though I still think anyone who goes to law school straight from undergrad is a bona fide lemming that's walking off a possibly certain cliff of financial debt hell with ego as the bait.

I won solitare. I've been trying all week.

I'm moving in with a female roommate in a week. She seems like a cool girl who I have a lot in common with. I just hope this all doesn't get all weird or complicated - me being male and all.

You know it will, sooner or later :p

Pray she's already involved somehow.

Congrats Sashie! The interview phase is usually pretty rough; sounds like you're getting through pretty well, though!

Stata 11 is here and working on my computer! Features:
- (Finally, finally, finally) proper native text editor with syntax highlighting, code folding, etc. (worth the upgrade cost by itself)
- built-in handling for object oriented programming, should you ever need it
- Native support for interaction terms in multiple regression (sorely needed)
- Expanded and updated methods for complex surveys (always welcome, and leagues ahead of SAS in this department)
- Multiple imputation
- More robust handling of panel data
- Still backwards compatible with the most popular user-written extensions/packages
- about 9001 other awesome features that I will likely never have to use

...in short, if you are waiting for a PM from me or a substantive reply in a thread, I ask for your patience. :D

Thank you. I was a bit conscious about being prepared and doing my homework beforehand, but Google is my friend  Ironically, the company itself specializes as an online search/directory website localized in my region

Rave: I feel even better now after sending a thank you email and shooting some more email applications with custom-made resumes :goodjob:
