actually, i know exactly how this happened and it can be a part of my rave. I CAN'T SLEEP.. and i have 16 hours of soccer all lined up to watch starting in.. 2 hours. this is going to be interesting. ok, so it's not quite a rave, but i'm half asleep and i have no idea what i'm talking about

I'm going to a shelter now to see a dog I saw on their site. A husky mix, which according to our insurance even a mix we're not supposed to have, but we'll just lie and say he's a mutt or a malamute or something if we like him. He's a bit old though, almost 2.

Just got back, dog is cute and friendly but a little hyper. Very Husky like which is good, only issues are our backyard is currently not fenced in anymore, which he would take advantage of very quickly I'm sure, and we're not sure how he would be with cats. They brought him out to see the kittens but that can't be too much of an indicator other than that he didn't seem to care much about them and was more interested in the people. I like him though, even if he's not a puppy.

Well, it is really abnormal, as in, I think it's the hottest August day for a long, long time, and it has been around 20C pretty much every day over the last few weeks.

They gave me a cert, a small cheap trophy, a medium-sized hamper and a new chess set. Some cash would've been better, but then the entry fee was around USD 2.00 so..
