Is that the one in Book 1 with the two warring tribes going through that pass, and then at the end Aang makes up a story about their hundred-year-long feud to get them to end their feud?

One of the most filler-y episodes in the entire series.

Yeah, the one so generic and fillery that most people end up skipping it on later rewatchings.

Like at least the other filler adds character development or introduces elements which become important later on. This episode introduces nothing of import and neither the location nor the characters are ever mentioned again¹

¹Except when the creators explicitly make fun of this fact in 3.17

I'm representing Jordan at a Model UN event, and I got sent a relatively rude note by Palestine asking why I didn't mention the Palestinian refugee crisis at all in my speech. I sent back a note simply reading:
"Black September 1970"

I think they got the message.

Agreed. There's some other episodes that you can skip and not miss out on anything major, but that has to be the only one in Book 1, probably the entire series that might as well not be there.

I was informed yesterday that KSP added SLS parts and an asteroid-redirect style mission as they've been collaborating with NASA a bit lately. That's.so.freaking.brilliant.NASA. Seriously smart move, it will help the public get enthusiastic about the mission. :hatsoff:

Now if only I had the time to play it!

Dear god, after the career fair I burned four hours on this.

It is awesome. My old 7 mainsail/18 booster Muntasm launch system can be replaced by a relatively simple array with one core quad-engine and two boosters. There's so much more I can do to build space stations now, and I was finally able to build a quick and dirty recovery system for my stranded voyagers (13 years in space! wooo!!!).

I kinda remember that episode. It kinda felt like they were trying to establish Aang's personality as a risktaker or a gambler, but later on they don't follow up and he is much more apprehensive going into the finale.

Check under your car each morning... unless the Model UN Palestinians are whimps... at which point, you next note should ask for their lunch money.

Would you happen to be in New York City?

Successfully purchased the most expensive sticker of my life, aka received my approved visitor visa for the PRC. Have a friend's wedding to attend later this month. Yay! In related rants news, I really hate traveling, specifically planes, trains, and congested urban landscapes. Shanghai won't be a problem, right? This should be interesting.

That's the People's most democratic, socialist, august, and ancient Republic of China?

Indeed. That would be the harmonious People's Republic of China. My friend certainly has seemed to love it there for the past half decade. He's worth visiting, and it's really exciting to see him, but traveling to China during spring fieldwork is...I dunno, just very much not something that's anything resembling not a major problem.

Why is it that every single time I look up a hot actress on Wikipedia she just got engaged or married? I can't suspend disbelief properly when I know they officially have a man.

You gotta be a Romeo homewrecker, my good friend. ;)

No. River Falls, Wisconsin.
Home of the largest rodeo east of the Mississippi.
A shame. My roommate just got back from the NYC one. He was in St. Louis a few weeks ago, though.

No, there's only 20 million people there, you should be fine.
Remember to take the Maglev!

But then those aren't really fillers, it's just the creators messing with you!

Perfect reenactment of real world circumstances.

Can't you travel at another less inconvenient time?

Then I'd miss the wedding I'm supposed to be in. :(

Oh! Why didn't you start by that?

Can you take the harvest with you?
