Changes with the latest SVN:

  • Sevopedia entries of new Wonders are still pink  .
  • I can now see all wonders again in the Sevopedia even beyond "L" .
  • Still the F1 key doesn´t do anything  . Am I the only one seeing this?

Updated the SVN art files so the buttons show.

I am still getting F1 working but then I am using the debug version which is a few versions old. I am getting a whole bunch of art errors for missing movies when I press F1 which is strange. I will check out the latest version now.

Edit Both F1 and the house button are bringing up the domestic adviser for me. Have you personalised the domestic adviser?

OK the second one doesn't read, 20 million?? The one before was only 390,00ish:crazyeye:

@ Hydro

Do you do a "dry run" before submitting these commits?? otherwise you'd see the errors before the commit??

I now get 2 error messages STILL stratosphere one and now a kerala one??

EDIT:

I am getting pic 3 now when trying to look at the Great Wonders???

Can you guys help Sargon, I am really busy at the moment. Sorry for leaving you guys hanging.

Hey all,

Used your mod for a while, just downloaded the latest version. Been seeing a lot more crashes lately after I end my turn. The latest one is just driving me crazy... no matter what I do, the game crashes to desktop a few seconds after I end the turn. I've attached the save file and minidump.

Have you updated to the patch DLL in the patch had? If so and it is still crashing please post your minidump (see instructions in he head post of this thread for where to find it)

I took your advice and downloaded the latest DLL on the forums, and it did not fix the issue. I also tried the latest copy of the DLL on the SVN (rev 5840) with no luck. As before I've attached the save game and a new minidump below.

i HATE also that the key CTRL does not do what it used to also, (put the unit/building at the TOP of the buildable list.

This is no issue here! Ctrl, Shift and Alt are just doing what they are expected to do. Im running Windows 7, maybe another W8 issue on your system?

Thanks to Dancing Hoskuld´s changes in the SVN (at least I am pretty sure that it were these) all my recent problems have disappeared: F1 again opens the city overview and no more pink squares for wonders. Thank you!

There is a display error in the Edit Mode of the Domestic Advisor (press F1, then the Edit Mode button). When you hover over the Save button the text says "save any changes you have made to disc (CustDomAdv.txt)". In fact the file is named "CustomDomAdv.txt" which took me really long to find out. It could also be mentioned that this is saved in the UserSettings folder.

Explanation: I find it very important to see in the domestic advisor how high the crime rates (and pollution) are in my cities which can be costumized here. Also there are some columns that are too small and can be easily widened.

And another thing: A flying horse, looks pretty funny :D ...

Another thing with air pollution: Could you check whether Ordinance - Clean Air Act (-100 air pollution) and CO2 Reservoir (-200 air pollution) really work?

I have calculated all my current air pollution from buildings and it sums up to -119 (including the above). I have looked at the tiles air pollution and it is mostly negative. But displayed in the city is 240 (+56)...

Edit: Interesting: A recalc brought it down to 15 (-169).
Edit edit: Next turn: 159 (+144). After recalc -66 (-81)

There definitely is something wrong.

I have the same problem with these air pollution ordinances. It seems to be a bug in property changes for all cities. Same behaviour than Snofru1: the values only apply when I recalculate, or the turn I finish to build the ordinances (the property drops -100 in the turn). In following turns, the effect disappears (the property reaches previous level in 2-3 turns). If you need a save, I think the one I attached in this post reproduces the wrong calculations. Also, in this save too, I never got a flammability event, with a value of 400+ in some cities. Is this normal?

Thanks for the dump and save. The dump indicates a crash inside the main game executable, rather than the C2C DLL, which means its something indirect that is happening. I tried your autosave, loading it and then just hitting end turn, but no problems occurred. I then set it to autoplay 10 turns, but it still ran fine for me.

How frequent is the crash for you? Any obvious sign of a particular trigger? Your game shows fairly low memory usage, so IO don't think it's a hardware-limited resource issue.

Are you playing with viewports on? Either way dos playing with them on/off (the opposite of currently) have any impact? Is the crash immediately on end-turn, or more like some way through he AI turn processing time? If the latter could you turn on BBAI logging and provide the BBAI log (along with matching save and minidump for that case) - it might provide some clues.

Finally try setting your threading to 1, to eliminate multi-threading being the problem here (set the value of NUM_CITY_PIPELINE_THREADS near the end of 'caveman2cosmos\assets\xml\A_New_Dawn_GlobalDefines.xml' to 1 rather than the default 4) and let me know if that makes a difference.

Hi all.

I decided to check this mod out, but it won't load at all. I have unpacked it correctly and can select the mod to load from CivIV BtS, but after I tell it to load and BtS shuts down, C2C does not load up. BtS shows up in the listed processes under CTRL+SHIFT+ESC, but it does not do anything, so I have to shut it down and start over. I've tried running the mod as an Administrator and editing the C2C shortcut to load the mod (so I can run the shortcut as an Administrater) but the Administrator opening of Civ4 BtS concludes with the same error and I cannot get the shortcut to work.

I'm using Steam, and I think my issues have to do with that somehow.

Can you please help me. thanks.

Depending on your PC Specs, i am taking it you have an OLDER PC, prob a 32 bit one, in that case it will take around 10 minutes to load the FIRST time, and if you leave your PC on after than it will take around 2 minutes to load.

Also make sure you use the PATCH in the patch thread otherwise you will have complications with v31, thx for trying this Great Mod.

Sorry for the loading but this is the BIGGEST mod made.

At C2C modders i think i have found the problem out with the above referenced post i made above, but not too sure, but the Ambulance has NO action btns at all?? I believe its the kfm that is incorrect: <KFM> Art/Units/MechanizedInfantry/MechanizedInfantry.kfm </KFM>(see pic 1)

I dont know if so, but the attached savegame also has the python error and i cant get passed it

Oh! Don't worry, that's completely fine! I guess patience pays off, but I did wait a long time and follow my instincts... Have been number crunching, but everything comes to him who waits I guess. :)

I'll testrun it tonight :)

Has anyone started a new game recently?

I've started a few new ones in the last week and something seems to be wrong with the city names. The list starts from the middle somewhere (so Rome's first city is Tarentum or Portugal's is Sarges), so you end up founding the 'real' capital as your 7th or 8th city.

When you hit "end turn", the game will hang. It just won't load the next turn.

I can reproduce this and am looking into it...

Edit - BTW - a small work of warning - this failure mode will turn your computer into a space heater! All 4 cores running at 50% for me (threads set to 4, so one physical thread on each core running flat out basically) - CoreTemp showed all 4 cores operating at approx. 90 degrees (centrigrade), which is close to thermal throttling...

Good thing then i have 7 fans running and a temperature gauge ON my computers outside case.:p
