I think I'm Persia surprisingly. I was trying something different by not attacking anybody from the start to build up my armies to conquer the world in one go. It didn't work.

Yep. A very reasonable removal it is, too. AI Carthage still doesn't stand a chance though.

Care to post some pictures for the non-SVNers?

Not really an OMG pictures, but the Romans, Persians and Greeks are doing surprisingly well for 1200 AD. The Romans even took Yerushalim from the Arabs (it does flip to the Arabians on spawn, right?).
Oh, and try to guess who I am (not one of the three mentioned, of course).
EDIT: Note : four centuries later, those three are still alive and are the tech leaders.
