BTW what time do people expect to stay together till? I'll be meeting a friend to go clubbing at about 10-11pmish I expect (i'm staying at hers and she wants to go out as she's going back to Bath in the morning as well).
I have no plan for the night. :D I'm open to suggestions if we are a few left after most people have gone.

Btw people me and Mise were talking about the starbucks we are gonna meet at the other day and we remembered that the upstairs can get a bit cramped (it did last time!) so maybe we should warn late comers that there is a downstairs, and if the upstairs is to full we'll have to go down there....so don't worry if you wlk in and can't see any of us just go take a look down the stairs!

C'mon, Ram, you need at least to still tell us which curry houses you recommend in Brick Lane.
Sweet and Spicy is the one I had in mind. See map and address on this page.

It looks like a canteen but the quality and authenticity of the food is streets ahead of all the other conjobs on Brick Lane. It's also very reasonably priced. I recommend you order a range of dishes and share it all around. You can take your own bottles of drink in there (indeed you should as they serve no alcohol in there). Then also drop into some of the many Indian sweet shops that can be found on Brick Lane.

I believe I already recommended some other (non-eating) highlights worth catching in the area earlier in the thread.

Last time people stayed from 11:00 am till about 14:00 (pm)
Mostly due to delays in trains.

Most of us actually stayed well until midnight.

We had a couple of hours in an Indian restaurant, where we had a nice meal, thanks to Ram, then we went to a nice corner pub before separating for the night.

BTW, I now have 4 people who PMed me their details!

And I'm confirming that we're meeting at the Oxford Street Starbucks next to Soho street

Just letting you guys know that Feline_Dacat won't be coming on Saturday, cos she's working. Basically, she's rubbish. =/

So that's basically the only two Londoners who know what they're doing and where they're going, not coming. Bah I say! Bah!

Are those Whomp and NonCon in the corner ??? :crazyeye:

I may have a vast amount of marking I have to do this weekend from Year 11 mock exams and also there is all that rugby on the TV.

Plus I'm in a foul temper.

Maybe, maybe not, goodness sakes why did we agree to do this in another country?

You're right. Edinburgh is a fine city. We should have a meet up there sooner or later.

Hah! I'll assume you are aware of the mythical rivalry between Edinburgh and Glasgow!

But, you see - We put such petty differences aside when it comes to the ancient art of Englishman hunting!

:D

Mythical ? Have things changed that much in the last 20 years ? When I lived there it was very much a real rivalry, though it paled when compared with the sectarian issues in Glasgow.
