Zelda MOD and scenarios thread

The perfect scheme would be something like this :
Ancient games -> OOT -> MM -> WW

Humans : Hylian City -> Hyrule Town -> Clock Town -> Windfall Island
Zora : Zora1 -> Zora2 -> Zora3 -> Rito
Forest : ? -> Kokiri -> Deku-> Korok
Mountain : ? -> Goron1 -> Goron2 -> ?
Evils : Ganon's Pyramid -> Gerudo -> Gerudo Pirate -> Forsaken Fortress

This is a lot of work :rolleyes:

I think Windfall Island should be seperate from the Hylian buildings, and maybe korok and rito, too (forsaken fortress seems to work, tho). Also, since WW was sooooo long after OoT and MM, maybe you should try getting a few ideas from Twilight Princess, and release WW stuff seperately, because it's only 100 years after the other 2. I've seen goron and hyrule designs for TP, maybe those could be for era 4. And how about taking ideas from the Oracle games for goron and zora era 1, :).

I'm still not sold on the filation Zoras/Ritos :-P It doesn't make sense and I don't remember it from the game (I know it's a theory both popular and criticized on Internet, but it doesn't really mean anything).

As far as I'm concerned, I'd keep them apart.

Edition: I forgot a word.

Aye. The Techtree is normally the backbone of any scenario!

May I, however, suggest that the tech tree be "flavoured"- so that the Zora have one "tree", the evil civ(s) have one, etc.?

Cities would be great!! As for the era part of it, do whatever you think we might need, 'cause we can always make changes later.

I agree completely.

I guess I'll jump into the conversation. :viking:

Yeah, I don't know how a zora could evolve into a bird in a few hundred years, :confused:
I don't get the Zora/Rito connection either. It also didn't make sense that they would evolve into birds when the whole world was covered in water. Unless they prefer fresh water over salt water? :confused:

I'll try to come up with some tech tree ideas later.

The city graphics scheme sounds good to me. :thumbsup:

Should things from OOT really evolve into MM since they were comtemporary?

Woo! Now we have the water bosses from OoT and MM! But since the Gyorg you made is the WW version, maybe it could be a sea barb?

And btw, a WW scenario would be pretty cool. Complete with cel-shaded terrain, :mischief:

Nice sharkies! :scared:

I did some brainstorming for unit ideas for each civ, we don't have to use all of these, but I thought it might spark some inspiration. A few of these were mentioned earlier in this thread.

Hyrule: Castle Guard, Hylian Knight, Sage, Sheikah Ninja, Bomb Cannon
Termina: Guardsmen
Gorons: Rock Chucker, Bomb Thrower, Goron Clubman, Goron Puncher, Goron Hammerer, Dodongo Rider, Rock Golem
Zora: ???
Deku: Deku Scrub, Deku Shaman, Deku Stick Wielder, Deku Flower Flyer
Kokiri: Kokiri Slingshotter, Deku Nut Cannon, Kokiri Stonethrower, Kokiri w/Wooden Sword or Deku Stick, Skull Kid
Gerudo: Gerudo Assassin, Swordmistress, Pirate, Spearmaiden, Thief, Priestess
Ikana: Stalchild, Ikana Swordmaster
Evil Forces: Too many to mention (Moblins, Lizalfos, Stalfos, and such)

I had trouble coming up with something creative for the Zora. But, it shouldn't be hard to find graphics for most of these units, except for maybe the Goron, Deku, and Zora units as I don't recall seeing anything that looked like them in the unit graphics forum.

I agree each civ or culture group should have a different tech tree. I think the tech tree should also have a line of techs in each era that mark important events that happened in LoZ history along with the typical technologies. For scenarios, you have techs that gradually upgrade Link into a stonger unit giving him more abilities and bonuses kinda like the Shoguns in the Sengoku conquest. There also can be different techs that represent items you get in the games which in turn reveal new resources on the map to further your quest.

@Odin - Here's a post I made like 2 years ago about a windwaker scenario I was thinking about doing. Ironically, it was in a thread where you were requesting a Zora LH. :crazyeye:
When Windwaker first came out, I had actually considered making it into a Civ3 mod, but C3C wasn't out at the time and it couldn't be done. Now that C3C is out and I think it through right now, Windwaker could very well be easier to make into a mod. Especially by using Reverse Capture the Flag to complete certain tasks.

Substituting the SS parts with the 8 Triforce shards could be made to simulate the Spaceship Victory. Each Triforce shard could require a different resource called Triforce Chart 1-8. In order to see those resources, you would need a tech called "Incredible Chart".

Wow, Chris, that takes me back, :crazyeye:. Believe it or not, that request was for the original idea for Lord of Ragnarok, in fact, so was my first ever post on this forum. Crazy, huh?

Anyway, once I get my HD back, I'd be willing to work on a WW mod, because the ideas you have make sense. I might take a crack at the cel-shaded terrain, :mischief:

Er-hem, I would be more than happy to make the follwoing (once I get through what's already on the to-do list), all from Windwaker (since it's the boat game):

Ghost Ship
Pirate Ship (actually the same model as the ghost ship if you noticed, just different textures)
Pirate Boat (the little ones)
Merchant Boat (if you need it)
King of Red Lions

And maybe we can make a few up to fill in gaps afterwards.

Honestly, I was planning to do Windwaker units from my humble beginnings, this just provided the real incentive.

Woo! Unit makers volunteering! Pleasure overload, :bounce:

@Stormie - I was new... I didn't know what they were called, ;)
@Orthanc - Those would be sweet, :). But for the king of Red Lions, could you put Link inside, and use a cannon-firing attack anim? :D.
@Supa - I shall google for a model until my fingers bleed, :salute:
@Varlin - Yeah, that would be pretty cool, maybe a fish bow and arrow, like Mikau's guitar from MM.

EDIT: heh, heh, I found a bunch of WW models, already, here.
