I wouldn't have included them if I had asked who you expected to win. But people can still support candidates who won't win, as can be seen in the poll.

I know NickyJ, I'm not knocking your for including them. I'm just kind of poking fun at Europeans who complain about our 2 party system but would vote for one of the 2 main parties instead of the 3rd parties even in a hypothetical election.

Green, every time. What else is going to persuade mainstream politics to take the environment seriously?

They'll probably wait until the Potomac swells and turns the national mall into a marsh.

A non-American for Virgil Goode?

So what? It's called hypothetical strategic voting. :p

But to be honest, my vote is about 99% determined by the character of the candidate, not it's party policies. Since I cba-ed to look into them to really get a good grip on the choice I'm making and I'll probably wouldn't be able to tell the difference. From my little socialist free-range neck of the well hugged woods, it would all read like facism to me. Obama seems to be a decent guy and I respect the man. So he gets my vote. Romney is a sleaze and I have no idea about the characters of the others.

Oh, and I won't vote for Ron Paul or Gary Johnson because of certain individuals who just can't seem to tire of voicing their support. So forum experience even weighs into my well considered choice.

All of that means is that I can still say: Your 2 party system sucks.

I am Ziggy and I approve of this rationalization.

Not me. I go female and green.

I thought Virgil Goode is classified as Conservative American. Which makes him far-out-right for me. Nothing wrong with that mind you. Takes the whole spectrum to make a political system. (Still stinks, though.)

Sorry, that comment wasn't directed at you; I was reacting to the fact that someone DID vote for Virgil Green. I saw him in the Third Party Debate and he seemed as though he'd gotten lost on his way to the RNC. He's fun to listen to though, with that accent..

Non-American. Jill Stein.

Would like Obama over Romney ofc.

I wasn't aware I was a "liberal" though. -.-

Non-American. I supported McCain in '08 but I've come to like and respect Obama. I would vote for him if I could.

Non-American. Romney (the first one by the looks of it).

Should Romney become president he'd accelerate the downfall of the USA while Obama would just delay it.

I feel American enough to vote as American, I've lived there for 5 years, I have a green card.... But Im not technically a citizen. I still voted as American :P

The two party system is crappy and the voting system as a whole is crappy and partly as a result of this the poll should include all current voting options separately in every single state to be accurate. It's a bizarre reality that one's home address is a major issue in elections.
I voted for Stein as I did in the other poll but if I were a citizen voting in a state were I had even a remote possibility to prevent Romney winning by voting Obama instead of Stein I do it without blinking. A choice between two decent candidates is a luxury I couldn't afford if there's a question between a sanity & insanity.
Locally I'm a lifelong conservative and voting a green really hasn't been even an option so far.

G

Chose Stein, but if I actually had to vote I'd vote for Obama. It's too close to risk Romney.

I chose Hussein. I'm not green enough for Stein, though I think she is left enough for me.

American, I'm writing in Jorah Mormont.

Rocky anderson is better than jill stein (and I feel qualifies as he was in the third party debate with the 4--jill stein, him, gary johnson, virgil goode)

Non-USian (I refuse to refer to myself as non-american when I do live in the Americas), and I'd vote for Obama.

Really? He doesn't seem to be a strong enough personality to have such a position.

I'd be content with Renly or Littlefinger in power though.

Not a fan of Baelish's Machiavellianism, and Renly... hard to make a comment without spoilers. I just think Jorah's the coolest. Objectively speaking, the best leader would probably be either Eddard Stark, Howland Reed, or Stannis Baratheon.

(Disclaimer: I'm just about to finish A Clash of Kings.)

The platform of ANY Game of Thrones/Ice and Fire character would look about like this

1. You will die.
2. Everyone you care for will die.
3. Everyone you ever cared for will die.
4. And your little dog too.

That is why you should not vote for them.
