I'm going to step off my England grind for one second to take a swing at someone new. Or rather, someone really, really, REALLY old. Egypt's tile improvement makes no sense whatsoever, since there was only one Great Sphinx and a bunch of small scale statues that were typically just decorations for larger and more impressive buildings so either this should have been a world wonder or they should have the buildings the sphinx statues were located on (though since the tile is one giant sphinx I presume they are talking about the Great Sphix, which again there is only one of so how exactly is it a tile improvement if there is only a single example in the ENTIRE empire?) Why not make the tile improvements an obelisk since they actually did have plenty of those scattered around? Next I'd like to harp on Egypt's ability, which goes against the history of the side it's trying to mimic. You're encouraged to build districts and wonders on the flood plains rather than farms which is the exact opposite of what Egypt was known for as without those floodplain farms the empire could not exist as they'd all have starved. Cleopatra... no. And also her agenda is nonsense as Octavian (later to be known as Augustus) had the bigger army but Cleopatra wanted Marc Antony and even when bolstering his forces with Egyptian troops still was just about equal to Octavian. Even if we ignore that it's just a dumb agenda, why would a trade focused builder civilization care about how big your army is? A bigger army just means you're more likely to roll in and conquer Egypt to take its wonders and districts for yourself, which IS historically accurate but I'm pretty sure the Egyptians were less than happy about that. The War Chariot is fine if a little bland.
While I really don't like Arabia's abilities from a game design perspective and find them lazy they are all thematically appropriate. The Mamluk is a nice change of pace from the camel archer and is more relevant historically, and the madrassa is a nice touch and a reminder of Arabia's glory days. All around it's quite thematic even if I don't like how it translates to gameplay.
