Fallout mod.

Hey, I've been watching this for awhile now. Love the fallout games. It's great to see it's moved up to beta testing. I hope you take your time. I love to see quality and balance in a mod. Those screenies really capture the mood by the way. Looks great. :)

I am glad that multiplayer will be an option as I foresee the potential of a great and fum 'roleplaying' pbem in the future ... :D

I'm glad you like it.:) There will be more screenies to come, so keep watching this thread.

@fe3333au: It'll be MP only if you enable it in the editor. By default it will not be enabled.

I am new to the Civilization games and I have to say that since I saw a thread about a Civ III mod based on the Fallout world over at www.nma-fallout.com, I imediately needed to get that game. Good job to everyone involved in this project.

Also I'm a big Fallout fan so if you need help for Civilopedia entries or things like that(nothing too technical) I'll be very happy to help.

Also I was wondering if there's a chance we'll be able to play a non-beta version before the end of the year?

I can't say if it will be ready to play by the end of the year. Thor's a very picky person. :p He won't give a release date because he won't release it till he feels it's ready and up to his standards. :D

Does that mean there won't be an open-beta version available?

Also does the mod have an official web site?

1. Sorry no.

2. :hmm: Not really. Theres another forum where the mod is based at (which is linked in the first post.) , but thats about it.

Thorgrimm, unlike me, likes suprises so of course he put in more then a few suprises with the barbs.

You can imagine my suprise when I saw this nice little barb. :p

Well I just uploaded version 1.01 of the mod for the testers. So I thought I would give you all a peek at the new ocean tiles and ruins Reddog made for the mod.

@WeaselOp, to be honest, I do not remember if they are pounders or Reddog's. Maybe someone can clear that up.
As for the ocean tiles, I think they are wonderful, I am very pleased with Reddog's choices of colors. They have that sickly look to them saying do not go near! :D

I just checked Pounder's ruins thread, and they aren't his. Any chance you could get me a link? I can't find them posted anywhere. Or are they being kept private until the mod is released? :(

WeaselOp, thanks for checking, so they are Reddog's. Just been so long since he made them. :D And yes, they won't be released till the mod is released. Sorry about that.

Diocide, thanks for the comments. We are trying very hard to get it right. :D

The sea is wonderful. Good job!

The ruins are good but don't blend well with the terrain tiles.

Well, my feeling is that cities in general do not blend well with anything natural actually ;)

I love the atmosphere of that screenshot: can't wait for a public version! This is San Francisco right?
