In Conquests the city view screen was removed but I would like to have it back. Any way this is possible and to continue to play Conquests expansion?

The city view screen is the one that gave you a picture of your city, and the buildings you built in it. It used to exist.

In C3C that screen is only available for the epic game. There is no normal way to bring that screen back for mods or scenarios in C3C. The only way I´m aware of using that sreen for mods or scenarios in C3C is to replace the standard Conquest biq with the biq of a scenario or mod and to rename it to Conquest biq. In that case the other additional /modified files of that mod/scenario must be added to the standard files, too.

Ask Steph. Maybe there's a hidden flag in the .biq files that says "enable city view".
Or there could be some forgotten line in an .ini file that says "enable view=[TRUE/FALSE]" and all you have to do is use Notepad. I'm not good at that kind of thing.

No, Firaxis used that screen for a cheap fix of a crash possibility with resources showing in the city screen. If the city view screen would be enabled again for its original purposes these crashes would also be there again.

Oh I thought the City Screen was so popular that someone would've tryed to make a mod to reenable it already.
Did anyone except me, love the city screen?

And I though it was because they didn't want to adapt the city view to each of their conquests.
Same here.

It was because they ran out of time and money to make all the new structures and wonders work in the city view. The community offered to make the graphics for the new buildings and they were going to go with that, but then ran out of time and just left it as it was.

Someone not too long ago brought over the .EXE that allows more than 512 cities... Perhaps we can get a hold of them and see if they can perhaps do the same for this ?? Or at least see if the option to turn it back on is in the EXE. It is worth a try... I will try to find the thread where the 512+ city EXE file is and PM them.

I remember him saying that the person who did it was a friend of his on the Russian CFC site...

Tom here's the link to the download post of the NCL fix.
This is the Author

Oh I have no problem with the limit of 512 cities :)

If you read the post prior to mine you will notice that Tom is referring to the author of the NCL fix. What he is saying is that author may be able to fix the city view also. That is why I posted the info.

Thank you Guardian, I will see if I can get ahold of them and perhaps see if anything might be able to be done, or at least checked out.

I have gone to http://civru.com/ to see if I could locate sYn or Knuckles there, but even with Google Translate, I had a hard time finding my way around :)... and I couldn't find either one. I tried doing a search, but was unsure if I needed to be a member or not. I sent Knuckles a PM, hopefully he responds.

If anyone is a member of civru.com, any assistance would be appreciated to perhaps drop sYn or Knuckles a message with this thread link, to see if they would be able to offer any assistance... in checking if it is possible that the EXE could be modified to allow palace view/city view screen to be re-enabled.

Good idea Tom, best of luck. Merry Xmas.

I found the topic that discussed the exact same thing as me, the city view screen.
http://forum.civru.com/index.php?action=vthread&forum=5&topic=8122

Just the user left angry that no one responded to his thread, and had to find the answer himself :(
As I looked through the forums I get all the way back to threads from 2005 :/ Nothing like it.
Hmmm.
Oh and I found that the City Screen works if you just select "New Game"
But Civ-Content it is disabled.
I think, it is easier for modders this way.
But I guess we will just have to accept that modders post-conquest do not have city screen graphics and thus we will not be able to play mods with city screen graphics.

As frequently, Firaxis in the readme-file of C3C only said a part of the truth. The page in the city-menue was needed to handle modded games with more strategic resources than in normal C3C properly. Inspite of programming an additional page for the strategic resources , Firaxis went the cheap way to use the still existing city-view-page for the needed fix:
