CDG is another Civ-based forum site. The full name is Creative Design Group.

There is all sorts of political BS going on between that site and this one - particularly when it comes to providing links from one site to another. The whole thing has gotten very tiresome.

I don't care to be more involved in this, but if you do a search for CDG either here or at Google.com you should find it. Or just email me.

I hate to ask you, but could you PM me some of these problems they are having with eachother as I was planning to upload my mod there and link it to this site as well. I'd like to know what sort of mess I'm getting into.

Yep it was MZO Central - I misspoke. Or mistyped.

I'll just post here so I don't get asked too many times about it, but any further discussion should be in PM as this thread should stay on topic (as I love it!

The basics are that certain people were posting there files only CDG, then setting up threads here at CFC that had links to the CDG file. The folks here took this as an attempt to woo CFC users to leave and go to CDG. The CDG folks took it as an attempt to use their servers for storage, while keeping the traffic here at CFC.

The new policy at CDG that requires a user to login in order to see or download attachments is a direct result of this conflict.

Both site administrators have spoken out against linking threads across sites.

It is a pain in my opinion, since it is much easier to post in one central place, then post links to that place. That way when you have updates, you only have to update it in one place - that is the sole reason I was caught up in all of this. But unfortunately unless you have your own site that you can upload files to, you are now forced (or at least forcefully asked) to post at each site individually.

Great to see someone working this.
I'd love to try your Mod, but at 104 Mb, it would take me 14 hrs to download. Living in the middle of nowhere, even 7 Mb. an hour is fast. Around here we still beat things out on drums.

Thanks to Thorvald of Lym giving me the link to the thread, I finally was able to find out again who the original creator of this unit was. I finished the unit back in Dec 2009, but at that time couldn't relocated this thread.

Hate to bump such an old thread, but I posted this unit in the Database, and the thread shown below. I will add the info here as well in case anyone checks this thread, so they can still get the unit.
