The Sheaim Merchant looks quite unwell this morning, and his speech is punctuated by any number of bodily noises, many of which are not at all suitable for polite company...

Loathe as I am to use up good merchandise, I fear I may have to take one of those medicinal baths myself this day. My head feels as if there's a whole team of Khazad gone to work inside it...

OOC: Now I understand why baby nurseries are referred to as 'Biological Weapon Labs' - every week the boy brings home a new microbial organism to share with his loving parents.

What's making my headache even worse, however, is the prospect of so much lost business from the war that now looms over us like a giant weaving machine. How am I to keep my customers well supplied with high-quality chattels if there are large, burly men running about the place smiting each other with axes and such?

I hope they pay you well for your servant work, Seon, because I'll be expecting full compensation for my losses, should you prove responsible for the present state of affairs. Perhaps, though, if indeed you are not to blame, you might furnish us with the name of an alternate suspect - as one who is keen to see our nation come to blows, it seems probable that you have associated yourself with like-minded people. Indeed, you might consider that whoever brought about this unhappy state seems to have timed his or her intervention to make it look as if you are the guilty party, leaving you to dangle from the hangman's gibbet, whilst they continue about their dastardly work.

Alright, let me put my own two cents on why I am innocent.

I revealed myself as a blood pet to AtPG and the other vampires day 2 so that they can feed on me instead of other innocents. I could have easily hid myself in the crowd

I told AtPG and the other vampires abou the possibility of returning processed mana back into its raw state thereby not only drawing attention to myself but also informing them of a possibly valuable game mechanics. Again, I could have remained a happy little blood pet not noticed by anyone.

I lead a charge on Autolycus despite the fact that I could have left my vote on choxorn. This is...

A: because town had no leads and even a sliver of lead is better than no lead at all.

B: because it was also convenient for my secondary VC.

If you judge me based on my secondary VC alone, then Frozen in Ice is also guilty despite being a vampire.

I informed everyone my secondary VC despite the fact that it was clear I was not to be lynched.


In every opportunity presented to me, I opted to give information to the innocents and to put myself in the spotlight. The murder of Kennigit was only to be expected: he did claim to have an ability that targeted only demons in public and thus put a giant kick-me sign on his back for the demons. I knew that he had this ability the night before he claimed it publicly.

I freely admit that I have the ability to stop lynches. But this inconsistency with my role is the only evidence against me. I think that compared to my records of willfully trying to tell people that mattered about my abilities et al, speaks for my innocence.

I was quite busy this last weekend. I have some time now, so I'll attempt to catch up.

The adventurer is sitting, hunched over some parchment, quill in hand. He writes with the careful and considered hand of the seasoned mapmaker, albeit with the occasional twitch of one who has in his time had to pen a few ransom letters under extreme duress, sometimes from orcs.

I'M JUST SPENDING A BIT OF TIME TALLYING UP THE ACCUSATIONS FROM THE LAST COUPLE OF DAYS, BECAUSE AS WELL AS MY BRAWN, MY BRAWN, MY AMAZING HAIR AND OF COURSE MY MIGHTY BRAWN, I ALSO HAVE BRAINS TO SPARE!!!!!

SO FAR THE VOTE THAT STANDS OUT THE MOST AS BEING UNUSUAL IS THIS ONE:



THE SITUATION AT THAT POINT WAS: NINTZ 2, CHOXORN 2, A BUNCH OF OTHERS (NOT INCLUDING FROZEN) 1, ROBBIECON 4.

BOTH FROZEN AND CHOXORN VOTED FOR ROBBIECON ON SIMILARLY WEAK REASONING.

BACKWARDS LOGIC COULD HAVE PUT A LOT OF PRESSURE ON CHOXORN, BY PLACING A VOTE AGAINST HIS NAME. INSTEAD, HE WASTED IT ON FROZEN, WHO WAS IN NO DANGER OF BEING LYNCHED.

SO ROBBIE WAS LYNCHED, AS YOU KNOW. THE FOLLOWING DAY, BACKWARDS LOGIC WAS STRAIGHT OUT OF THE BLOCKS - WITH A VOTE FOR CHOXORN, NOW SAFE FROM IMMEDIATE DANGER. (HE REMOVED THAT VOTE SOON AFTERWARDS.)

BACKWARDS'S VOTE WAS ONE WITH NO CONVICTION. WHETHER THIS IS BECAUSE HE IS SOMEHOW 'IN LEAGUE' WITH CHOXORN, OR, MORE LIKELY IN MY EYES, IF HE SIMPLY WANTED TO BE SEEN TO BE AGAINST A LATE-DAY BANDWAGON WITHOUT DOING ANYTHING TO SET IT OFF COURSE, I DON'T KNOW. EITHER WAY, HE DESERVES MY INITIAL VOTE FOR TODAY AND I WOULD QUITE LIKE TO KNOW WHAT HIS REASONING WAS. AND WHAT HE'S CURRENTLY THINKING, TOO. SO FAR HE'S BEEN VOTING THE OCCASIONAL MANA TO HIMSELF AND ARGUING WITH ASKTHEPIZZAGUY, BOTH RATHER EASY THINGS TO DO!!!!

You're absolutely right. I should have accused choxorn and not Frozen in Ice in that scenario. But if choxorn and I are in league together, why does ATPG come down on me with threats and whatnot? If the whole thing was a planned ruse, ATPG doesn't have to do squat here, unless you also think all three of us are in whatever this elaborate ruse is together. Bottom line is in my haste I screwed up the vote. I do have a bit of a meta-gamey reason for accusing Frozen in Ice, something that's in the thread already and can be confirmed by him if he so desires (assuming he knows exactly what I mean).

The natural rate at which you regain strength is after being wounded is 1 strength per game day cycle. This can be thought of as Healing or Regeneration rate. There will be ways to boost your healing rate.

If he has a strength of at least two and if there was only one attack per night, he could simply just be regenerating all of the damage from the prior night. It would explain why he's still alive.

I asked him earlier if he had regenerated from his first attack on N1 and he said no. He may have a strength of 3, but I have not asked him. I know of at least one other player with 3 strength.

As far as I know he is not a vampire either.

I believe that Kennigit has a masonic partner, and perhaps they are viewed as a team. I have approached this individual in private to learn more.

As for today's vote. I am not really seeing the case on seon. He has indeed been very upfront and not in the shadows. At one point I thought that maybe seon and ATPG were usurper partners, but given the bad blood between them I am not so sure that is plausible now.

It does feel like ATPG is trying to put seon in a box, though I have seen him do this when both he and his target are innocent.

Pi has been rather quiet this game. Even in private communication he has been rather pithy. Not sure I want to vote for him yet, but learning some more about him would be welcome.

BSmith - due to an error by Sprig, I did not receive a PM regarding night two healing until after I had responded to you regarding natural healing, and I missed that line in the sign up thread. At the time I thought there was no healing and responded incorrectly. I only have 2 strength, which has enabled me to survive these merciless attacks on somebody who is here to keep the peace as best he can.

I must question the motives of these vampires though. They feed on us night after night, breaking the King Exar's laws when they killed classical_hero and topsecret, two men guilty of nothing but being unfortunate targets of the vampires' insatiable thirst. Those they don't kill they wound, decreasing the strength of those committed to finding the villains at work here. The King Exar demanded retribution against those who broke his laws, should we not give it to him?

Was no one able to protect Kennigit last night? After he professed his ability to hurt demons it seemed obvious that he would be a target of theirs. This is a big loss for all of the innocents.

I do have something to confess; I have been the one feeding on the Sheaim at night and I indeed had the same secondary goal as Seon. Throughout my entire career as a judge the Sheaim have displayed themselves as nothing more than a vile, troublemaking people. During my tenure I always managed to restrain myself and treat them equally under the law. But I felt certain that they are behind the attack on Exar, and that crosses a line for me that is unforgivable. If relations are repaired with the Sheaim then so be it. I tried my best to rein in the threat of the Sheaim, and there's nothing much more I can do.

I would like to make it clear though that everything I did against the Sheaim was ultimately harmless, nothing more than a prick on their neck. This should show though that I was busy at night so I'd be unable to do much more nefarious things such as being a demon. It is because of this that I ask that I receive the death mana.

The elves have been hit the hardest by the vampires, and Ljosalfar-Calabim relations are nonetheless the friendliest out of all diplomatic relations; in fact, I don't think any Sheaim at all have even died at the hands of vampires. It has to be something specific, like an ability of some sort.

I DON'T UNDERSTAND. WHAT DOES ATPG HAVE TO DO WITH THAT PARTICULAR ACCUSATION? YOU AND CHOXORN CAN THROW TOGETHER ALL SORTS OF RUSES TO KEEP YOURSELVES OUT OF TROUBLE, ATPG DOESN'T HAVE TO KNOW ABOUT THEM.
